Has anyone by any chance heard who will be opening for New Order on any of the upcoming 2016 US tour dates?

Thanks, Mike

I've had the same question - is there one?

I like opening acts but if it meant NO played 3-4 more songs i'd gladly go without. I doubt that would actually be the case, so an opener would be nice.

I don't see them having someone too loud or over the top, maybe even just a DJ or electronic group? For some reason Factory Floor came to mind (which would be really cool).

Don't get your hopes up regarding support acts - I saw them at the Roseland in 2012, and the support band were Win Win, who I thought were crap, wish I'd had a few more drinks in one of the nearby bars before going in. You'll probably get a DJ and a local support band rather than anyone 'famous' but good luck all the same.

Holy Ghost opened in Atlanta 2014 and I love them so that was great. I highly doubt a local band will be supporting New Order throughout the tour.

Maybe a small tier Mute band though.

Well there are 2 artists with recent releases on Mute who are not touring during March and who to me would fit the smaller-support band.

Yeasayer - I Am Chemistry

Yessayer - ONE

Moderat - Reminder

Moderat would be my preference. They are a collab from Apparat and Modeselektor and I imagine really cool live.

You may know the opening act for NYC and Philly 'ZGRT' by another name.........our own Zachery Allan Starkey.

I think its fantastic that Zachary and his band are getting this spot. Sold out crowds each night. Should make for a great night!!

I meant local as in the U.S., not Lancashire - I didn't think they'd ship the Wheel Tappers & Shunters Social Club over with them, but hey look, they did what I said and booked support acts that no one has ever heard of - enjoy!
