Beautiful venue. Saw them here in 1989 (with Throwing Muses) and again in 2013 with a great opening set by Johnny Marr.

Indeed an awesome venue Andy, and in an amazing town.

You're not the only one who appreciates the town, Mr. Chen. I believe at the 2013 gig, Barney said he was thinking of staying to run for Mayor.

Showers, bring your raincoats.

It's snowing here right now, and it's going to rain in Santa Barbara. I love weather.

I drove around santa barbara today , checked the beaches and the pier and harbor, and all of the ice cream shops , and an anti something political rally , but neworder were likely out surfing ,hang gliding , golfing, and sailing instead. Waiting for sirens call , vicious streak , California grass and recoil are hoped for extras tomorrow night

Back from Santa Barbara. First time seeing them in the Music Complete tour. Interesting the tour shirt says Performance USA17 so I guess they don't call it Music Complete anymore?

I was happy to get a heavy dose of MC songs, since I never heard them in person before. Here's what worked live and didn't.... Singularity, Academic and Plastic were great live. I didn't think Academic would sound as good as it did. I guess utube can't do it justice. Restless, Tutti Frutti and POTHL didn't work as good, I was surprised Restless didn't sound as good as it should have? It's basically Just like crystal. Tutti Frutti sounded just like the Barney doing karaoke over top an over load backing track.

Great line from Barney "You have a beautiful city, you have a beautiful country, you have a beautiful president.....you have a beautiful country."

Crowd was kinda lame, with everybody sitting in their seats. I had to put a stop to that. In the end people were standing.

I had 2 girls beside me who would sit down and play with their phones evertime New Order would play a MC song. Needless to say they never heard anything past 2001. They insisted New Order were going to finish the show with Regret and Thieves like us. I had to laugh. But I did have fun with them, they ended up being my concert buddies.

Beautiful venue, but the sound was not the best. But it was a beautiful venue.

Over all a great show, had a lot of fun. And on another note, Decades was great live, loved it!

Now that I seen this tour, i do hope they switch things up after Manchester this year.

Brilliant show- owls flew from tall trees , silent until they hooted along with the crowd during temptation. The show was visually and sonically superlative. Bernard sings sometimes with nuance , then with deliberateness, and exactness, with his singular humanity that requires no excess bleating of emotion . Visual art ideas are a bit advanced from the Houston show 2016 . It is 4K pure bliss . This best band ever is so ,thoroughly wonderful, thank goodness they are working ,and a guitar album may be next

POTHL was the highlight of the set for me, the funky-house outro forced everyone in the pit into some form of movement whether they wanted to or not. Peaceful town Santa Barbara, we sat outside a German bar on State St the night before the gig, after a few rounds our bar maid asked "so, are you guys Australian?"

Absent from the setlist were hits like “True Faith” [clown]

The reviewer must have gone to the bar at this point as otherwise the review is quite detailed!!
