I'm thinking big synth tracks with all those synths in the house. More of a wish list for some of those below. I think and really hoping thieves like us will be played

Vanishing point Thieves like us All day long World Avalanche Dream attack Your silent face Plastic Fine time Senses This time of night 5-8-6 Elegia Unlearn this hatred Everything gone green Bizarre love triangle Waiting for the sirens call Temptation

Decades Isolation

And one record I hope they really do but it's a guitar/ bass track is Leave Me alone

I reckon they will use this an opportunity to play some of the lesser heard tunes. 10 song set something like :

Elegia Crystal Regret Krafty Temptation 586 Bizarre love triangle True faith Waiting on the sirens call Love will tear us apart

Ecore The beach

Should be good

Temptation and LWTUA and Transmission for powerful encores. EEG , Age of Consent , and BM are good starters. All day Long , Dream Attack , and WFTSC are good anytime BLT ,TF, and ,YSF, and Crystal are sort of expected. Guilt is a useless emotion , academic, hellbent, and this time tonight ,and one more each from technique, republic ,get ready, and sirens . And if the band felt like it they could take time off to rehearse about 40 songs outdoors for a few weeks, record them and release as a 4 CD set , then think about another release of lots of new great songs , and our appreciation would be very very appreciative ,if not off the charts total bliss happy

Of the views thus far I am more hoping for the likes of EGG, Thieves, Vanishing Point, Confusion than the recent sets inc TF, YSF. What are the 10 piece or whatever it is synth orchestra going to be doing during he likes of a ceremony or regret? Not a lot unless substantially reworked....

I assumed that suggestions like Crystal, Regret, Krafty, and even LWTUA were tongue in cheek. They may all have keyboards/synths on them but don't sound like the kind of tracks that would be played by a ten synth army. At least not in my head. Mr Shadow's list looks interesting though. YSF and All Day Long could potentially sound immense with a maxi-synth treatment. I'm rarely happy with YSF live; the synths don't surge the way they should. This would be a good opportunity to fix that.

What I particularly like is that they will probably be dream setlist gigs, played to audiences about a tenth of the size of usual, that I can't get to and sold out in 17 seconds.

I just hope they don't over sell it like WHP

They keep coming up with extra tickets every few days at the moment

Totally agree, it would ruin it

Another thing that I'm hoping for is for the set list to be entirely new order

Please let have a rest from joy division

I think Decades will be an encore.

Here goes with my own predictions for a 16 song set.

TF TPK BLT Temptation Vanishing Point EGG Round and Round Angel Dust Plastic Subculture This time of night (if only!) 1963 Confusion Thieves Like Us 586

Encore: Decades

The MIF website says, "Running time is approximately 80 minutes". More likely 10 songs or so...

You don't like that song? Can't remember if i like it or not really. It's an oddity for sure, i'm curious to hear how it sounds live though .

From the pics and stuff it looks/looked an interesting stage set up and setlist tonight

Behind closed doors was an odd choice, absolute shite, but some of the other stuff was amazing. Particular highlights for me Ultraviolence, All Day Long and Shellshock.

I really enjoyed some of it

But who's Joe,behind closed doors and guilt is a blah blah are songs I'd never wish to hear again never mind live

Plus I don't like joy division so a bit of a missed opportunity for them in my book

Fuck me, there's no pleasing some people is there... thought that was a stonking setlist personally, looked and sounded amazing from the footage I've seen. Yeah those particular tracks are weak but you've chosen to highlight the only three duffers out of a set of 15 otherwise fantastic tracks. Couldn't be more different from their normal set as well, I mean 7 tracks not played live in over 20 years (three of them in over 30), what more do you want them to do? Plus only two Joy Division out of 15, doesn't seem that excessive to me? I mean that is a huge part of their musical history, most people in the audience who go along will be expecting a bit of JD. Picked two of their absolute best to play as well.

It was in the whole a good set list yes

But the 3 tracks I highlighted are shockers..totally forgettable and I'd say they pretty much bombed on the night

If we'd have got TLU (which I'd say the entire crowd was expecting) and EGG I could probably have put up with the 2 jd songs but for me that was 5 songs I didn't enjoy

I'm sorry to have spoken my mind and I'll make sure I give a proper 10 out of 10 review for the July 15th gig which is the next one I'll be at

I did enjoy the dancing synth girl though she was ace

They changed the setlist slightly for tonight. I saw a different version of Thursday's setlist which said Elegia/Times Change, and I thought it was a fake but it seems not. Heart & Soul subbed in for Behind Closed Doors.

So, two changes.

That Royal Northern College Of Music line up in full

Seriously though, great to see Times Change in the setlist. That's the first time ever live for that song if i'm not mistaken? Or did they do once in 1993 or something?

That's a first for TC, They played Special once at Roskilde (think it replaced Everyone Everywhere) and didn't go down well.

Not a bad guess from me even if I say so myself, guessed 8 tracks played over the 2 nights so far

It looks like these MIF gigs have been an absolute bloody gift to fans. In the last few years I've got used to the idea that NO would put on a greatest hits set and Hooky would deliver the deep cuts; the two fit together and fans were getting the best of both worlds. But to some extent NO have just gone and eaten Hooky's lunch. I wish I'd made the effort to get to one of them (but pretty much impossible for me). Maybe they'll tour something similar (but necessarily cut down) one day? One can but hope.

Watching a download of one of the streams that made it onto YT; hoping to secure the BBC stream at some point too. But really, I hope they cut an actual official release from these gigs.
