*surprise!* joy division questions

1. When was Paul Morley's first interview with the band? December 1977 or January 1978? If anyone has read it, what was discussed (other than the band being largely silent for the duration)?

2. Did the band join the Manchester Musicians Collective before Rob Gretton became their manager? Did both of these things happen in April 1978? When did Gretton start managing them (I've heard April)? Gretton began managing them not long after seeing them April 14th, so which came first and where in the history of time?

I have Touching From a Distance but the rest are too damn expensive. That's why I turn to you scholars for help.

After 1) hearing that they were making a biopic based on "Touching From a Distance," 2) having a vivid dream that I was director of said biopic, 3) being disappointed by the amount/accuracy of Joy Division in 24HPP, I've taken it upon myself to write a screenplay based on Ms. Curtis' book. However, she's pretty hazy on a lot of the details, so I've been using the internet to check up on the facts in order to get a decent timeframe for the events. Just a little project for practice adapting a book.
