I'm really sorry, but it seems I have restored by mistake the database from the day I did the migration to v3.0 by mistake...

Meaning, all new messages since there are gone, and all modifications you did to your profile are also gone...

Fortunatly, nothing is missing from the application itself, since what has been uploaded is my local version.

If you want to know what happens, the key here is to remember to never do backups before going to sleep and it's very very late, you might end up to do it the wrong way. :embarassed:

Don't worry about it, my first thought was that some computer worm got loose in here (of course, I haven't the slightest idea how computer viruses work, so just ignore this insane thought). :shrug:

I'd rather it be some stupid mistake than anything more serious like a virus...but my Scott Baio thread seems to have been lost so soon after being posted. Coincidence? :skeptic:

I THINK EVERYONE HERE UNDERSTANDS THE PRESSURE YOU ARE UNDER TRYING TO SATISFY US LOT! :DNow no need for any apologies as i worked in IT for 24 years and mistakes are easily made and very hard to rectify.Nothing important that TABOO#7 wrote is MISSED!;)BTW the new forum is looking rather cool and thanks for all your efforts with this. Don't blame yourself too hard:

  • I can log in again thanks to your efforts
  • A friend of mine lost a weeks amount of work once by doing the famous 'rm -r *' on a unix box without having checked whether a valid backup had been made. With a commercial project under pressure that wasn't the proper thing to do.
  • Take a loooong sleep; it helps. Whatever we say will not make you feel better probably but at least some of us will understand.

Nick, don't apologise for any (VERY rare) mistakes. You've given us a site, thanks to time & effort that we'll probably never appreciate, that most of us could not even dream to give, and now you've improved it.

As Positone said, take a long sleep mate, you've definitely earned it! And thanks to everyone else involved in keeping NOOL going, BTW!:thumb:

put the blame on me. i was actually chating with the man at that hour when he said "well, another beer and i´ll get to bed". and you know about Nic´s problems with alcohol! :D

i should have stop him, i should have done something to avoid this mess. a simple "don´t upload anything today, do it tomorrow" might have help :p

so don´t blame our beloved webmaster. blame me! MEEE! :cry:

As-t-on vraiment besoin de voir le titre du rang en caractères plus gros que le nom du user ???????? Franchement!

Et si ça continue, il faudra presque utiliser une loupe pour lire sur ce site-là!!!!!!!!!!!

J'ai écrit en long et en large que le design était pour être refait, que WenOrder a accepté de le faire en Octobre, mais que j'ai du mettre ce site en ligne plus tôt que prévu...

T'es fatiguant avec ça.. non je n'ai pas de temps à perdre JUSTEMENT, au cas que tu as pas remarqué encore, je n'ai pas *modifié* le site, il est tout neuf de A à Z... et maintenant ça va me prendre 90% moins de temps pour faire quoique ce soit.

Et de plus, c'est toujours de la valeur ajoutée à mon CV.

Je te jure.. c'est à se demander ce que tu viens fouttre ici si tu penses que c'est vraiment de la perte de temps...

Need one really to see the title of the row in characters larger than the name of using?? Frankly!

And if that continues, it will almost be necessary to use a magnifying glass for reading on this site!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you really three tons of time to lose, it can almost by it believable there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
