24 Hour Party People and Transmission

24 Hour Party people is gonna be released early in next year. But I don't know about Transmission.
Anyway, I heard even Danny Boyle was also on making another Ian Curtis movie.
I don't know much about either film, except that Tr. is based on D Curtis' book. My feelings on making such a film are mixed, cos unless it's done with enough feeling to portray the brilliance of it all and the behind-the-scenes tragedy, it would be a waste of time. Whoever's making it faces a very difficult task. We all have our own mind's eye on what Ian C and JD mean. Personally I dread the outcome. Good luck to them in any case. :\ohwell: Anyone got any more details?
Look what Oliver Stone did to Jim Morrison, then ask yourself what Ian will turn up like on the big screen.
Good movie that it is, The Doors paints Jimbo to be an ego maniac, and I fear you could get the same impression from Deb's book. Let's just hope they treat him like a human being, not a freak
