hello everyone (it seems ages since i've posted on here)

today, i was offered blue monday on 7", except this one is "extremely rare" and only 100 pressings were made. this one is apparently number 96 out of 100. £30 is the asking price, but i'm not sure.

what do you all think?

thanks :thumb:

Which extremely rare one is this? Did you see the thread last week concerning the Japanese one sold for nearly $800 on e-bay?

....but it's not numbered

You are pulling my chain aren't you? I have a copy of this which I bought in a second hand market (Camden I think) when I was living in London (1993/1994) for 18 months over from New Zealand. Think I only paid a few pounds. It's backed with Confusion.

No chain pulling I assure you! If it is the yellow sleeve with the Factory logo on it, with the edits of Blue Monday and Confusion, you are a very lucky chap indeed! Only 25 (possibly 30?) copies are said to have been pressed and the BM edit has never been released on any other format.

Have a look at this link (you might need to type it out, cos I don't think it has formatted properly). You can see for yourself the $790 item that is no longer for sale!

It was bought by someone from the other New Order site.

Of course, if you want to sell yours for "a few pounds", be sure to let me know first!!!!!!!!

You mean this one! Hell, I had no idea there were only 30 of the buggers! I feel - er - so extraordinary!

Er, I think I might keep it for now! :)

As far as I know, Blue Monday comes in three different flavours of 7":

The fabled Japanese edit...

A Polish one with Thieves on the b-side (plays at 33rpm, both are full length versions)...

and a promo of the Polish one, 60 copies and supposedly a faded out version...

None of which match the description above. I'm intrigued!

As well as the silver labled copy of FAC51b there is a "promo" with no label that I have, but I've no idea how scarce it is, or if it was really some kind of re-issue rather than a promo...

I remember the Rocket said that there were a lot of bootlegged Fac 51 flexi`s in circulation, maybe its one of them:nod:

Could well be. It was rather cheap!

It has the correct Lyntone matrix numbers on the run-off, so I really don't know...
