Contribution time of the year!

Hello everyone,

You remember last year at the same moment (and a little later), we did a little round of contribution to keep the site going.

Well, it's that time of the year again, NewOrderOnline is now to v3.0, and it's unfortunatly the time to see how many people want to keep it running!

The NOOL fund is pretty low right now, and I'll need to fill it a little in order to keep the site running and to pay domain registrations and everything.

Over the years, people who contributed are titled "Salvation Members", but I'll try to find a more appropriate way to thank you for keeping the site running.

I remind everyone that NewOrderOnline would be closed since May 2002 if nobody would have cared, and with generous contributions, we managed to keep the site running ever since then.

If you want to contribute, it's quite easy, you need to use PayPal, and send your contribution to nleblanc@spotnick.com, give what you want, 2$, 5$, whatever, it will keep the site running until the next time, I remember in 2002 we had enough contribution to run for 1 year, that was quite good! We did switch server back earlier this year, a few people helped out, and it went on.

Your contributions are worthy, as I said, I'm willing to give my time and sweat for this site, but I'm not really willing to assume all the fees by myself. And it's been extraordinary so far.

Now, the next time, you won't be solicited this way, you will be asked to buy a copy of the Community album, that's probably in 2004, so prepare for that moment, but right now, we need to balance for up to then.

Well, my luck, PayPal is under maintenance up to 4 AM, but usually it's quite simple...

Go to: https://www.paypal.com/affil/pal=nleblanc%40spotnick.com, and it's a good idea to use that one if you register, because I think since I'm the one who will refer you, it will give NOOL an extra 5$ because you are a new member.

It's quite easy, you go there, register, then you click on "SEND MONEY", and send it to me, nleblanc@spotnick.com, it has to be with a credit card I think, you can wire money but it costs much.

Advantage with PayPal, I have the PayPal Master Card debit card, so I can pay directly in US funds using it, saving me money! Really useful.

I still have all left-overs.. even one Retro with bonus disc nobody claimed (!), so don't worry. What was it you won? Jobe or International? I guess sending it to Australia might be close to 10$ CDN (so 10$ AUS too usually).. I'd have to verify, but if it's 5$ US to send it to the US, I guess I'm not too far away...#

A little expensive I think, next time I do a contest, I will let the damn labels pay the shipping, otherwise it's not worth it...

i´d like to say i´m with you in spirit, Nicos. in my dreams i send thousands of dollars to NOOL. unfortunately i have no job, bank account or credit card to make it (i guess you know the story). even if i had a credit card won´t make any difference since if it´s not a gold one all the others are useful only on limit countries to Argentina and PayPal don´t accept credit cards from my country anyway (i guess you already know that OTHER "bankrupt country" story too).

so what i want to say is that in all these months (years) of difficult economic situation i went through NOOL became a very important part of my life (the good one ) and all of that i owe it to you and Seb, Nic. so i offer myself to do things like i´ve been doing with Community in order to return a little part of what you gave to me. it´s the least i can do for this wonderful site you made!

Alejo, this is a voluntary contribution, I'm not expecting anything from everyone, even though I'm overwealmed by the response of everyone, it's very understandable that people in country not under a very stable economy such as Argentina, will have problem with it.. I know the story, no problem at all, most people from countries in the G7 can afford a contribution, it's a lot harder for others, and it's very understadable.

Some people contribute in many other ways, and you go a good job as modeator, and I won't comment the Community project, which is, like it or not, a good way to contribute to this site.

As I said, it's not a mandatory contribution, it's just to keep the things rolling, and it's much appreciated...

If NOOL was a professional site, yes it would have been tested before going online, but I guess it would be worth quite a lot of money.. I'm devoting some of my free time to this site, and it's mostly because of the people who come here day after day, otherwise, what would be the point?

My PalPal account is in USD, but I don't really lose in exchange since I pay with the MasterCard PayPal Card in US funds, so you don't have to send it in Canadian money.

However, I was a little blown away by your contribution! It's very appreciated!

Jim: Yes, but US funds when converted to US, since the Canadian dollar is now 75 cents (it was 63 last year!) it's a little cheaper..
