I just saw it on MTV2. Have you all seen it or do you want a description?

What are your thoughts of the video? At first I didn't like it at all, now I think it's OK. I'm having problems not getting annoyed with that bear-man. He's such a bad actor. I thought I recognised the man who played the park ranger. It looked like a well-known american actor I don't know the name of. Anyone?

Isn't it the guy who played captain hollister in red dwarf and the leader of the colony in aliens - special edition?

I like the vid. Especially the bit where he holds up the tape and goes 'new order, man!'

Yeah, that's him!! I knew I recognised him from somewhere...

Oh, no, that's the part I like the least. I can *feel* that that guy has no idea as to who New Order are... But, as I said, I'm getting used to it... It's actually a little bit funny after all. I'll probably love it in a week. :)

I've not seen it, do the bears steal picnic baskets?

Ian, you've got to explain to me why you felt that you needed all those clapping smilies.. I don't

No, the bear is driving a car listening to 60mph and picking up a hitchhiker girl.

OK, here goes...

There's a guy who is some kind of scientist who dresses up like a bear and lives with them or something. He is listening to new order in his truck while he drives along a mountain road. The song keeps fading into the backgorund so we can hear him (badly) singing along. He picks up a girl who looks at him a bit strange 'cos he's dressed as a bear. He explains 'its my job'. We see various shots of him pretending to be a bear. A dog walks onto the road and he swerves to avoid it, crashing his truck. The woman can't get out so he climbs in through the window. Enter dog and park ranger who thinks the guy is a real bear. the dog bites the guy on the ass and the video finishes with everyone driving off in the rangers car. Oh yeah, and there's a photo of new order in their at some point.

Heh. Reading it, it sounds funnier than it is. Although, I still think a real bear would have been funnier.

Right this is a bit complicated, the clappers represent a studio audience as a minor celebrity is introduced to them in a U.S. sitcom it reference's an earlier gag in which the name Hank Wiseass was first coined hence the © (which incidentally had to be copied and pasted from microsoft word©{may as well get my money's worth it's the first time I've used it actually, still it was only £10.00}the lengths I got to to try and be amusing)Don't ask me to explain the one about Steven Gerrard from a while back as it's too parochial.Though I'm sure VG would get it.

It couldn't be any worse than the Crystal video.

The Crystal video is very well filmed, very well edited and it is a very ironic one. Typical New Order. I love it.

Very well filmed? Very well edited? I should fuckin think so for the money it cost! And it still turned out decidedly average at best! :smoking:

I like the ending, but it's not powerful enough overall to suit the song. I think Crystal is a quite aggressive song, and would've likes a more 'aggressive' video to go with it. More energy, more drive...
