if it wasn't for sooty...

hi everyone

i went to the local rehearsal rooms last night, and i stumbled across an old mojo magazine. it was the one with the 100 artists telling the reader about their idols. barney's was bez and hooky's was iggy pop. however, the one that got me was stephen's being sooty.

according to the article, it was sooty who got stephen involved in percussion (stephen got a sooty xylophone for his 4th birthday). this led him onto taking up the drums.

if it wasn't for sooty, who knows lol :D

I remember that issue, a bit surprised no one picked New Order as their heroes (as I recall, there was quite a bit of discussion about this at the time )
