1963: 12 vs sub

so before i left the house for this business trip i am on, i listened to the substance version of 1963 and the TF b-side (on the 12"). thinking back on it, the levels seem to be mixed a bit different. can anyone confirm of refute this? (the first thing i do when i get home is give this another listen.)

i suspect that it may be the digital vs analog source that is causing me to hear the two recorded copies differently, but since i am not at home to compare the two i wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this.
