Alright, I have change, again, the database format a little, this way, full credits should go to TLV since after roaming around the net, there isn't a complete discography compared to his version.

However, we all know the discography is not meant to be used the full way, and I will soon put the feature to select which items you have.

Basically, in NOOL v2.0, various tracklisting were visible, but you couldn't see the various international releases and re-releases of an album, single, etc..

It's not yet complete, but that's the way it is now, and seriously, I had a hard time finding a better way to do this (and it was a little challenge to do it dynamically)...

So, basically, you know see all "versions" containing a tracklisting.. I will soon finish to enter all "versions", then the discography will be better than what it is, however you have all various tracklisting..

Now, I hope WenOrder will be available soon, because I'm not quite ok with the current design of this section, there MUST be a way to do this, to have most information available, without overloading the page with details...

I'm out of ideas! could be easy to say "Well, f**k it, just show the UK releases", but it doesn't work that way, New Order had various tracklisting from country to country, we have to show that!

Anyways, I'll keep working on it (can't go anywhere anyways, due to a flu, I must *rest*)

Any ideas appreciated...

Hi Nicolas...

I'm glad to see that you're working on this Nick. It's hard to present all the information in a comprehensive way. Believe me, I know... (BTW: see the tech prob forum for my comments regarding discography vs. Opera...)

The credits for the New Order Discography shouldn't be just for me. Richard Kernin (previous owner of the Ceremony list and current site-owner) and Dennis Remmer (the Factory Discography guy) created the first Discography. I've only been doing this for a handful of years...

Well, we discussed it several time in private, it's a hell of a job to update this.. I must say especially the freaking compilation section, I gave up on this one to be honest :D

But trying to do a multimedia version of yours, with 30 secs clips and stuff, it's a quite long job.. it's been 3 years and I'm not done yet... plus, never really acurate..

So I'm adding a "verified" flag to make sure each entity exisits, so people can confirm they have it, plus reviews & rating.. let's say it's different, but the way to display information, nothing seems to satisfy me at all in this department...

Seems impossible to do!

Ah well...

I know. I have a somewhat subjective approach on selecting what compilations are listend and not. For example, 80's Retro Dance Mania Explosion Volume 28 with the usual version of True Faith is not listed... If it had True Dub of some more unusual edit, then yes.

BTW: I see that you are listing the various track listings, however, I can't tell what releases have what track listing...
