I was thinking about buying the 4 cd Retro box set, I'd really like to buy the Limited 5 cd edition but can't seem to find that one anywhere. Even though I have all the albums and EPs I thought it might be worth while as a collectors piece and for the discs of remixes and live material...
Anyone got either of these sets? What do you think of them?

I think its good. I happen to like such a good thing, and the live version of transmission is good.
20 minute Elegia is where its at though..
Essential for die hard fans...

It aint bad, as another rip the fans off effort. Who ever proof read the booklet must be blind, it is full of gramatical errors and typos.
Give be a live recording anyday

Bought the 5-cd retro from eil.com a few months back. Noticed that I play the 'Fan' CD most of the time while I'm on the road. The live CD is also played quite often just as the bonus CD. Best of luck in finding your retro 5-cd version.

A tidy collection although it could have had some more wanted tracks but worth having nevertheless.
yeh I'm really tempted to get it, I'd like to strangle whoever schemed to release a 5th cd in limited form! All of the shops I've tried don't have it so I'll have to settle for the 4 cd set, I heard an mp3 of 'As It Is When It Was' from the live cd and it really rocked! Thanks for the reply people!

Don't give up on the 5 CD version. They show up on eBay quite often. It's worth having the extra disc, if for no other reason than the 20 minute version of Elegia and the live version of The Perfect Kiss.

Buy it through Amazon.co.uk (if it is the limited one, be careful).. the VAT exemption is higher than the price of the shipping itself...
So if it passes our friendly customs without any fees, you're in for a fair price...

the 5th cd was an added after a lot of protest at the lack of new stuff one of the people to thank for getting the 5th one organised goes on here from time to time...

Yes, if it wasn't for the work of JS, the 5th CD (the only one that most people wanted in the first place) would never have seen the light of day.
