I must say I'm really happy to see that, even if there is only 15% of women in our "members with a profile", we have many posting in here...

That is to complete Klumpy's post and redirect to another topic page.

Still curious, is it that there is less female listening to New Order or less female attracted to technology?

I don't know. But it must be. Some of my 'female' friends prefer Depeche mode and Pet shop boys to New Order.New Order sounds may be dry and emotion-less to them. But I think New Oder sound is mellow and sensitive. Of course also dynamic and driving and intelligent and so on and on on and on.. Thinking about the case of my friends who are New Order lovers, they are all sensitive and introspective individuals. Then I really like Electronic musics and also so-call 'roots techno' like Derrick May and Afrika Bambaatta. I wonder it's not usual for girls. Well..but I think, some beautiful song like Dream Attack and 1963 and regret are especially attractive to girls.

I think New Order's music is perfect and I think it's very difficult to understand why everyone isn't a New Order-fan.

I've been trying to get my brothers to listen to it, with no results.. My older brother says he only likes Blue Monday (although I saw him song to True Faith when I played it to him). My younger brothers are totally uninterestd. They once asked me "what band is this" when I played Unknown Pleasures. That seems to be the case most time I speak to someone. They maybe know who New Order are, but they prefer Joy Division. *sigh*

I tried to get some of my friends to listen to New Order... and strangely enough, I succeded with three! (and that was two girls and one guy). I don't know anyhting about New Order's fan base in Sweden, becuase most people I talk to doesn't have a clue about who they are (not my age, at least). So far, I've only met one (1) person who claimed to be a fan...
