I too have been working on this for what seems like years!! Getting information from all over the place ..net/books/other fans etc etc. I have an 11mb Microsoft Access Database set up with a shit load of fancy searches/queries/reports etc. My contribution to the NOOLers would be for all relevant info be sent to me and once complete I will send it to the webmaster for uploading....can you work with MS Access Spotnick?? Thereby everyone is "signing of the singing of the same hymn sheet" so to speak. Yes/No?????

I notice that at present we are just dealing with the dates/venues and if a gig took place...are we also going to be looking at track listings and if tapes are available?? Also what about any recordings of the soundchecks and finally if anything was videoed??

I can plug it all in, but do need help to get a definitive list.

Spotnick's database is all SQL, mine is Access. Mine has all track listings and sound clips, and will be online in the near future. Never given much of a shite about soundchecks or videos to be honest.

Makes more sense if we work together on this rather than separately - can you split your db by year to make it manageable chunks for crossreference ?

Is anyone interested in the correction of the Revenge gigography? I've an annotation:

The Revenge gig, Oct 04, 1990 in Frankfurt, DE was cancelled, instead they played an additional gig in Stuttgart, DE on Oct. 18, 1990 in a club called "Universum". I have attended both gigs, well at least I stood in Frankfurt in front of the closed doors on Oct 04. In Stuttgart I gathered an autograph from Hooky. When my scanner works, I'll send the scans. Attendancy in Stuttgart was 50 persons max.

My database includes all concert information, setlist and notes (global and each track), reviews + images.. those are all linked together.

Any database can be easily imported, and exported.. I could easily do an Excel spreadsheet with the data.

But seeing many people would love to have a "printable format", I might do it soon, it's not really complicated.

One thing for sure, if you have any corrections, submit them to me via email, it will be much easier to track the changes.. but please not I didn't yet do the concert administrative part of the site with the new version, so I need to do it directly in the database.. it's not very complicated, but since when I get home I'm mostly tired, sometimes it takes time...

I think I will eventually delegate some tasks on this site, as far as I know, Tim could easily have a direct access to fix errors and inconsistencies, some other people too...

That's excellent news.

I think it may be easier to have somebody just go through as I've been doing and "sync" against other listings, at least for the venue/date stuff, and then later, the setlists.

Is anybody getting paid for doing this? :)

I'm wondering how that's going to pan out for the 'notes' section...i have absolutely no problem with feeding my notes into your db, but I would like to also keep them independently.

Sam, I also did threads about this.. Tim helped a lot because he has so many tapes, but that is only for 1988 and lower.. the Technique tour was the worst one because we had problem to know exactly all the gigs, and those cancelled (Puerto Rico & Montreal probably)...

I guess Ricardo can find those topics, I'm too lazy ;)

I've now got most of 1989 as well - these mixers now available have turned my way !

Probably because his list is really inaccurate and full of mistakes ! I get it straight from him, thanks, and sometimes he even sends me CDs.
