Sorry, that does sound bitter. But no one seemed to give a flaming fuck about these people before. Then the U.S. gets involved and suddenly human life means something again.

And I certainly don't think anyone here is dumb. Well, a couple. I just want to know why, if civilian bodies are a problem for all of you like they are for me, why does no one consider Liberia, Rwanda, etc.? The bodies are stacked a lot higher there.

yes well its all well and good to bleat on about nations getting their arses kicked and who gives a fuck ect. just remember this,if any of u lived in one of these nations ie:afgahn,iran,iraq et all you wouldnt have the freedom you currently have. and before any of u start whining i have BEEN to these countries and lived and worked in them on and off over the last 7 yrs and belive me they are far better off having the uk,and u.s. look after their interests after the shower of wankers they have had or in irans case still have. the state of the nation (sic) in any of these places was appalling to say the least,yes i know that many innocent people have suffered but it is far less than would have given the situation of power politics within them. their ive had my rant.:p

c´mon! don´t bring the "you´re with me or you´re with them" issue here. don´t eat everything your leader feeds you, please. there´s no "my way or the highway" and there´s no such thing as 2 bands: the good guys and the bad guys. i don´t think saddam is worst than bush but i don´t think he´s better either! so i really CAN´T be on one side or the other. there´re as many sides as realities in the world so don´t tell me where i should stand. i don´t give a f**k about saddam, he can drop dead. i worry about the people, the ones that americans are killing. because, where´s saddam head by the way? :shrug:

No worries, it's good that people are bothered enough to argue. I reckon most of my fucking generation don't even bother to vote in this country, which is fuckin' shocking.

And if Bush's real agenda were about bringing freedom to oppressed peoples, why isn't he sending troops to places like these (well, ok, he sent something like 7 marines to Liberia, but that's hardly a liberation army, is it?), or better yet, to China? Why don't we liberate Tibet, and while we're at it, bring freedom to the Chinese as well?
