To mark the soon-come occasion of my passing to the other side. I hereby set you the next brain teaser BACKWARDS. This is a deliberate reaction to the sudden rash of copy-cat teasers that have sprouted up recently, and I remain determined as ever to keep just one step ahead of the pack (guffaw).

SO! Here is the answer. FAC 113 : "ALEPH"

What is the question?

The question is:

how do you spell FAC 113 : "ALEPH" ?

I await my prize.

What was the FAC number of the Wake single OF THE MATTER and what was written on the indentations of the single:confused: Am I close?

What is "This Time of Night" ?

In fact, it's more "What is the work title of This Time of Night that was listen on the bootleg Dreams Are Over?" is that more of a good answer? :D

Shug has got the right end of the stick - so he's on the money......

ALEPH A Limited Edition Peter Hook

I'm getting further away aren't I?

My mistake.

Aleph is actually the work title of Sooner Than You Think, it was the name given to the track on the bootleg Dreams Are Over.....

So what can be the question?

What is the work title of Sooner Than You Think?

What is the name given to Sooner Than You Think on the Dreams Are Over bootleg?...

No, the question is rather:

How much Sébastien will be selling his 500 limited edition copies bootleg DREAMS ARE OVER, which is for sale, on which can be found ALEPH and the medley of Blue Monday/Love Reaction, and that he won't be giving Tim Jauncey for free?

:D

Erm...did I stumble into the Jeopardy! website?

So, is anybody nearer to coming up with the question yet?

Come on Shug....you were doing so well earlier on, why run out of steam all of a sudden? :D

I reckon the question has got something to do with what is the European release catalogue number of an New Order import or something....am I close? Couldit be a catalogue number given to a new order release that never happened, seeing as it's apparently the only one that ends in 3 that hasn't got a New Order credit to it. (All other New Order singles end in 3- like Fac 63, Fac 73, Fac 93, and so on...)

Am I getting close? :)

NOT SO QUICK NOW, LADY!!!! NOT SO QUICK!! I think Gary up there has got the gist of it....he's in the right area that's for sure.

ANYWAY, TO CELEBRATE THIS POST, I JUST WANT TO TELL EVERYBODY WHO'S BOTHERED THAT I'VE JUST REACHED A NEW MILESTONE (I KNOW IT'S ONLY TEMPORARY AND WILL BE IMMEDIATELY SUPERSEDED ONCE I POST IN FURTHER REPLIES)

IF ALL OFYOU COULD CARE TO LOOK BELOW MY NAME ON THE LEFT, YOU WILL SEE A VERY SIGNIFICANT NUMERICAL ORDER!! :D

AND TO CELEBRATE PASSING THIS LANDMARK, :jump: I HAVE DECIDED TO INCLUDE MY PROFILE FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER FOR THOSE OF YOU SAD AND CURIOUS ENOUGH TO FIND OUT MORE: MESSAGE TO MR KLOMPKES - JUST COP A LOOK AT MY E-MAIL ADDRESS AND SEE WHY I'VE BEEN KEEPING QUIET ABOUT THE SHOCKINGLY UNCANNY RESEMBLANCE YOUR NEW NICKNAME BEARS TO IT....HA HA HA! :)

*gasp*

Is GARY RITMAN actually MARTIN GRAY? How could you have me fooled like that? I should have suspected it when he, being new and all, suddenly had posted 30+ messages...

Is he invented just to lead us on to the right answers to your trivias?

How long will this travesty go on?

I'm shocked

Buster Colombus ?! That's quite funny, indeed, Martin, or should I say Gary (the Lady has quite an intersting theory there) ?

About your profile, although I know how we both love The Boo Radleys, I found it quite heartwarming to see you put Sice as favorite singer...

The lady is right indeed. It can't be a coincidence that Martin and the mysterious Gary share the same email address.

As for the question, would that be the fac code of Republic, which was supposed to be released on Factory?

Damn, I didn't even think of checking "Gary"'s email adress...

No wonder I do so bad in the teasers...

I don't think we can check his email address?

My theory came about when he talked about the resemblance between his email address and your name, Buster.

Thats when I realised that Gary=Gray and Ritman=Martin

Hmmmm

Yes, you can check it, Sophisticated Maria.

You can click on the little enveloppe icon with the one with the profile and the quoting...

Well, it's not exactly the same adresses, one being an AOL one, the other a Hotmail one...

But for the rest...

It might come as a surprise to some people questioning my identity here, but I assure you that I am a completely seperate entity from "TriviaMaster" Martin Gray. I mean, it's only just dawned on me that his name is actually a bloody anagram of mine! Unbelieveable I know, but there is absolutely no relation - I only stumbled upon this site after having visited a few other NewOredr related sites, only to find them below par. I found this one thru a better search engine than Yahoo.

So before you start accusing me of taking on someone elses identity....check out some of the silly names some of you have beeing masquerading as before making rash asumptions.

:nono:

Dear Gary,

If you're so new to this site, how do you know about this masquerading thing ?

And how do you explain the email adresses ?

And you seem to like the same kind of smilies as our goud friend Martin...

Easy - you can check all the topics that everybody has sent over the last few months, so you can see how many wild and wacky pseudonymns people use. I'm quite happy using my real name, I'm not ashamed of it. It's others who are making an issue about it...

and why shouldn't I use smilies, there's no law against it is there? That's what they're there for, arent they? :p

Martin's a "Trivia Master" more like, Martin thinks of the most banal links to New Order, from his warped mind somewhere in a padded cell:lol:

Erm....Shuv... do you want to know the answer to the now-inexplicably-closed "Missing Link" poser or what?

And, for the record, don't start victimizing me just cause some young pretender johnny-come-lately has the same letters in his name as me. That's no fault of mine!!

You don't seem to want to answer the email adresses thing, Gary Martin...

Well, that's not really a problem, you know...

If you want to post under 2 different identities, so be it...

If it's not Primal Scream, I'll be amazed, but go on give me the answer "Trivia Master"

Martin, you're not trying to come up with an alternative answer are you? :nono: Come on, Admit it, You've been rumbled :uhoh:

Well, did you say Primal Scream or did you THINK you said Primal Scream? No, I'm not trying to come up with another answer - so why don't you all click straight to my latest (VERY SMALL) Thread, entitled: Missing Link - The Answer and find out who got it right first! Go! Go! Go!!!

I did not find this thread!! Have you posted it yet or is yet another red herring? Confused  (?)

Well, Sophisiticated, I took the trouble to type it all out and send it, and you'll find that when you click on it, the thread is EMPTY!! The same with Allen Jarvis's THIS WEEKS TEASER - ditto! Perhaps the webmaster has decided to lock all threads with the words Missing Link or Teaser in it? I don't Know...

I just noticed... Why don't you tell me now instead?

Okay! Seeing as my Missing Link-The Answer has also inexplicably died a stillborn death  I'll just have to reveal the answer to everybody here then.

The first three people to get the answer were- in order Sophisticated (Lady) Gary Ritman (no, he bears NO relation to me, despite having a similar email address) Shug - though you may have said that after reading the answer elsewhere.

The correct Missing Link indeed was PRIMAL SCREAM

Primal Scream did a cover of Lemmy's old classic MOTORHEAD on the Scream's album VANISHING POINT, which shares a title of a New Order track from Technique. BERNARD SUMNER guested on the last Primals album XTRMNTR, and then BOBBY GILLESPIE returned the favour on Get Ready. Thus we get: MOTORHEAD - PRIMAL SCREAM (Bobby Gillespie) - BERNARD SUMNER (New Order) Okay? Satisfied? Can't believe the trouble that one caused.

So, Sophisticated Lady - You got the right answer first!

Whilst I'm on this thread, I will now reveal the QUESTION to this backwards teaser: Question: What is the only Factory catalogue number ending in "3" that was NOT allocated to an official New Order single/album, and what inexplicable title was this given instead? Answer: Fac 113 - ALEPH

Right! I hope that sorts that out once and for all. Now may I take this opportunity to make an announcement to declare that as from now I will not set ANY MORE trivia teasers or brain benders or any other quizzy thingies of the sort, simply because of the amount of hassle I've been getting from them....and anyway, Seb doesn't like them anymore. All this aggro is becoming too much for me to take!

So - No more teasers from me. :finger: EVER! That's it! FINITO! KAPUT! If you want teasers, set your own - I'll have nothing more to do with them - I've got my spliffs :smoking: , you can keep your teasers...that way we'll all be happy. Does that sound reasonable? Like they all say here in the 'Dam: "De tijd is nu!!" -so let's move forward, and stop dwelling on the past!

Life must go on.... Tot ziens!!

Yay!! :D

Gary Ritman (no, he bears NO relation to me, despite having a similar email address)

ummm still too many similarities to be "just" a coincidence. But if it's not you maybe he's your long lost twin brother or an evil impostor or a result of too many spliffs or..... ;) (I won't bring this subject up to discussion again, promise!)

No wonder I didn't know that one! Don't you think Gary deserves some acknowledgement for solving that one? As I remember it he was really close?

No aggro from me at least! :) Ehr... not intended as aggro anyway - maybe I was frustrated because your quizzes are *really* *difficult* (sometimes)
