There was a piece on David Peace - a new crime writer who writes 'Yorkshire Noir' - on CH4 (UK) Friday which started out with 'Atmosphere' in the background - grim up North/Black and white - Peace's stuff is set in 70's - 80's Leeds (it finished with Gang of Four)- think English James Ellroy - although he lives in Japan. And so does Haruki Murakami whose 'Dance, Dance, Dance' I'm just reading. Spooky :crazy:

Yep, them and the Mekons ruled Yorkshire in the late '70's - "Well I was standing at the bar where were you? I had yellow hair did you see me? Where were you?" (or something like that)
