I just got a copy of this version from a friend, is it rare? I think it's the best version of them all. I can't remember if it's up on floyd's server or not?

well since no one's replied here it is anyway... Since it's a largish file I can't leave it up for long as the ftp server belongs to a friend of mine and I have a quota limit. BUT I will be sure to upload it to Floyd's server as soon as it's up! Happy Holidays everyone!

The 12" Single certainly isn't rare compadre. Have you checked the discography section to see if it is the same one?

I know there are a few people (who shall remain nameless:lol: ) Who have already transferred the 12" singles to CD's - some of the one's I have are buggered tho - cos the guys sound system's timing was slightly out.

A few others have created their own artwork as well. The same idea Rob had for "Recycled" ;)

Just don't tell Alejo you've got it, that's all.

Well, Temptation 12" is on Retro, isn't it?

It's the 7" that is rare... (well, as rare as it can be of course)...

Altough my favorite version is Temptation 98...

hmmm yes this is the exact same 12" version that's on Retro, (still haven't found the 5 CD set btw  ), yeh it isn't rare, still a very nice version me thinks... About a minute into the song there's some shouting in the background, wonder what they're going on about? (probably Barney telling Hooky to turn his bass down or something :D )

legend says Rob Gretton and Hooky entered the room when Barney was singing and put an ice cube on his back, so that´s why he shouted! :D

at least is what someone told me. anyone could confirm this? :skeptic:

More of a snowball than an icecube! It was recorded in winter, and yes, the story goes that Hooky legged it outside, grabbed a handful of snow and stuffed it down Barney's back. Rock n roll, eh?

During the recording it started snowing and Rob and Hooky ran outside and got two massive snowballs. When I was recording the vocals they stuck them down the back of my shirt. If you listen to the 12-inch you can hear them coming into the studio and sticking it down my back.

The song was recorded in Blackpool in the winter, hence the snowball. I have the original 7" which I have been told is worth £45 to record collectors
