Well, which one is a better dance track? Although I do like Blue Monday, Confusion seems to get better remixes and seems to be a better dance track, in my opinion. Blue Monday, although you could say it is a classic dance track, doesn't seem to fare well in terms of getting mixed and is marred by The Beach. So, choose.

Confusion was a song of its time and I can't see it as anything else. I still listen to some Electro but can't help but think '1983' whenever I hear Confusion.
Blue Monday though, I can't see how it can get beaten in a poll like this. It's like the Perfect Kiss vs Dream Attack face-off someone did recently. No competition whatsoever..
No contest, Blue Monday is not only a classic but it's still getting played. Last weekend on Friday I went to an indie type place, they were playing Strokes, White Stripes, Jets and the like, suddenly, bang, Blue Monday in all its luscious glory, the next day I went to a posh place full of thirtysomethings drinking wine, they were playing eurodance, some techno, suddenly, yep..Blue Monday again. And I had not even had to ask for it.
I've voted for the Andrea Mix of BM because I'm sick of the original. I used to hate Confusion, but I actually really like it now. BM live is so boring...

I went to this place sort of downtownish, and they opened with Blue Monday and closed with the Pump Panel Reconstruction Mix of Confusion. Both had more people on the floor than any other song played. But in all honesty, Confusion does sound really dated. Even the covers (DJ Martin, Saebound) that have updated the sound partially and entirely sound somewhat dated. Blue Monday however, isn't really stuck to it's date. It's too good a track to be branded to a year. The only mix of Confusion I've heard in a club is the obvious Pump Panel mix and the Arthur Baker Vocal Mix. Blue Monday on the other hand.. I've heard everything from The Beach to the Hardfloor Remix to the Rob Searle White Label Mix to a mix of Orgy's and New Order's versions in one song. You can only do so much to confusion.
I think a better poll would be Blue Monday vs. Bizarre Love Triangle.. I think I'll make that now actually.
Blue Monday stands the test of time rather more than Confusion, I think. Blue Monday seemed to start a trend whereas Confusion probably reflected it (hip hop beats).
