dreams never end vs in between days

Im not sure if this topic has veen posted b4, but has anyone ever noticed "in between days" by the cure sounz alot like "dream never ends". I discovered this by mixing them together. The melody and the BPM is so much alike. Since DNE came out before IBD, i guess we can make the assumption on who ripped off who.

yep, i mentioned this a while ago since in between days has been on a recent uk car advert. could be a new order track until that greasy haired twat starts singing!

I know I've mentioned this before but Peter Hook said that his Mum (or Gran maybe, can't remember) said they really liked his (NO's) new single, and it turned out to be In Between Days.

the moral to this story is as follows! THE CURE"S IN BETWEEN DAYS IS AN ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC TRACK, YES IT COULD BE A NEW ORDER TRACK,BUT IT IS"NT ITS A CURE TRACK! NUFF SAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sad thing about this - first time I heard IBD was at a club in Worcester - heard this fabulous trademark Hooky bassline and was lapping up the cracking new New Order release, wondering why they hadn't been playing it live, and then Fat Bob opened his gob and I nearly fell over. Such a swing of emotion is hard to describe !

Somebody needs to program a worm that will hunt down the terms "Cure", "Fat", "Bob", and "Smith" in the database and systematically hunt those threads that use those offensive terms, and eliminate them.

I never considered IBD remotely NOish. The bass sounds totally different and the piano and keys. Not NO's style, baby, not their bag.

I never thought they sounded much alike. Inbetween Days I like better, but not by much (it is "the dog's bollocks," in the words of a well-known philosopher who frequents this site much less than he used to).

Ever notice how DNE, AOC, and Love Vigilantes all sound vaguely the same when they start off? Then how Crystal starts with a Paradise drumbeat and then goes into Regret guitars? Fine Time doesn't fit the pattern, so parallels need not be drawn.
