1979's always been hyped as a sub New Order song anyways, should be dead easy for 'em to play!!
* just editing this cos downloaded said track from soulseek just to make sure it is the one I thought it was. Has 'New Order' stamped all over it, though the guitar at the beginning is a bit all over the shop, even worse than Barney!
Anyways, as Tristan says, I see this was all a pipe-dream anyways!

too bad this all happened more than 3 years ago Don't be such a pessimist. Someone might mistake you for a Joy Division fan. ![]()
hmmmm. there´re TOO many 1st line artists there. i mean, all for the Smashing Pumpkins? come on!
besides it says DM and Simon Le Bon+Johnny Marr... how these two got together? ![]()
i woudn´t mind in believing all this. not yet!
1979 is too easy. I'd like to see NO cover "I am One." Let's see Barney attempt to do Corgan's guitar solo. Or maybe Hooky could do it.
yeah, this had to have been a fake report - or at least a real report based on sheer rumour...
anyways -> REM, DM, Placebo... and hell even NO fans would have known about it long ago -> even prolly had the demo's/outtakes on bootleg.
and it also says that tSP were finishing their last album. It was actually already done (MachinaII) when they released Machina. They were all songs from those sessions, b/c it was originally gonna be a double album
