It seems that the 2nd offering from the famous 'Getting Things Ready' album has now hit the shops, or, to put it another way, snuck in the back door behind a crate load of Britney Spear Throwers material fully prep'd for a Christmas push.

For the first time since the equally silent release of 'Spooky Ghosts' back in the nineties has the Huntsman found himself dwelling on whether or not it will be worth his own while paying £8.50 to park his bomber for 11 minutes, strolling around the town centre under a time limit until the 3 CD/DVD 60MPH is located and consumed.

But what do I get?... a hideous 4 on the floor hard house dance thrash big'up crisp meddley by DJ Jack Sphincter Jones and his affluent horse Terry?... An elongated Megla-moid re-mix mixbag featuring the skills of hash brown Nutty Roast with additional samples found on his PC by Snatchbox Gavin Stinker?

Will there more 2 second clips of live material I already robbed in the 80's?

Is the re-mix of 'Someone not unlike Geoffy Klumpy' really worth my own effort?

Well, I ask you, what a dilemma. Quite frankly staying at home with an enormous mug of tea and a couple of dipping biscuits sounds preferable, bearing in mind the utter terror I felt listening to the unrecognisable efforts of the Spooky Mogo-mix pogo dance routine 9.

Isn't this single supposed to got out on the 14th of november ?

I think, if you have to purchase one, it's the CD1 : it contains 'Sabotage'...

Well, Huntsy, if the SLY remixes were anywhere near as good as the Spook-filled-room remixes, it wouldn't be an issue. Actually, it wouldn't be an issue in any case, since I find I'm getting a little bored with much of Getting Ready for Christmas.

Think it's out this coming Monday. I'll buy as 'I always do' but then I do occasionally like these mixes.I am also looking forward to hearing Sabotage

Theres been f'all promotion for it and its not on the Radio 1 playlist so I can't see it exactly setting the charts on fire.

Seb, I've heard it on Radio 1 a couple of times, but it tends to be later at night on S Lamacq, I think We'll be hearing more of it next week, but it will probably be on the C-list.

It has had some daytime airing via Mark and Lard but other than that its presumably going to die a death of a thousand vixens. I'll most probably follow my usual route 66 of buying all and sundry regardless (as the Snake) - but find the release of this song a bit disappointing when others could have caused at least a momentary stir in the music world.

P are you saying your getting bored with things that are ready?

H I find myself skipping larger and larger chunks; I seem currently to listen only to 1,2,3, and 9.

Well, at least you guys are lucky over there....We antipodeans down under may not even have to chance to have a sniff at this release....there are just too many Crystal singles sitting on those racks being extremely unproductive...so chances are it would unfeasible to release 60mph... maybe it's not worth the risk flying the master tapes over Afghanistan enroute to down-under...

I'd like to put up a fight but, well, I'm on 1,3,9 and 10 (when in the mood). I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

One possibility, Huntsy, is that we've just listened to the thing too much over too short a period of time. Another possibility is that it isn't as good as we thought at first. I'm pleased that at least you and I have a 75% overlap rate.

I think your probably right regarding overlistening. I've just listened to too much NO full stop over the last couple of weeks. I have no doubts that this is an album that you'll be returning to again though..

Just for the record...tracks 1,2,3,5,7 is my current listening.

I think your right Mr. Snake... New Order overload even for us hardcore faithful. Inevitable that Getting Things Ready will need a break sometime or other... I'm also failry certain that we'll all be back for much more... including P.

And maybe we'll appreciate it even more. I mean, when we will have cooled down and will appreciate it for what it really is.

I'm pretty sure it will age well.

I still don't understand why the put those trancy mixes and etc..

Would it be too much to ask to put the damned David Kahne Mix on that CD? How about a live version from the recent shows?

This is a 60 Miles An Hour single.. and there is only 1 remix of it..

I don't mind the Someone Like You mixes, I want to hear them, but still... put some meat around the bone!
