Just wanted to say what a good night out last night I had listening to both tribute bands in Camden. Unknown Pleasures were good solid JD stuff. Nice one boys Liked The Only Mistake in particular. Well worth catching if you are around town and you fancy a dance in your raincoat. Thank you for the flyer.

Re : order were very good although I had to leave midway through your set because I was pissed/had to catch tube home/fall asleep/miss my stop/ pay extortionate cab fare etc. Very very good NO stuff. Sounded like them and even the lead singer / whose name I have forgotten again (sorry!!) looked liked Barney right down to the haircut. Big sound very NO. Liked the bass work. Thanks again for a good evening and it was nice to meet you all.

I must say I was quite disappointed as I didn't see any NOOLs there. Shame on you lot of boring bastards :skeptic:

How late did it go on then, Jim?

I was in a cab going through Camden around 11.30, thought it would probably be all over by then though.

Cheers Doggy, Glad you enjoyed your self.

Sounds like a hell of a journey home though, sort of thing that usually happens to me:)

I didnt catch all of RE Order but they sounded good.

Must echo Jims comments, good time was had by all. Both bands sound (almost) just like the real thing . Tho' the JD singer was a tad on the large side & the bassist looked about 12

Next date for your diaries is Sat 28th Feb @ The Garage in Highbury

Jim, i was stood by the bar with a small bald bloke.

Al, think it finished around mid-night

U guys make me laugh.

I managed to finnaly record it, only recorded unknown pleasures set though.

Sounds pretty good but as the engineer said it comes out a tad flat through the mixer but hey!

Does anyone know the ins and outs of selling copyrighted material? As we would like to sell copys at future gigs perhaps.

The songs themselves will be under the copyright of Fractured Music, and as such you would have to obtain heir permission to sell a live CD conatining their music. But, and here's the clever bit, you can give them away for promotional purposes. You could make one song a day available on your website, or you could give a copy to all people handing in your filers at the next gig. You can't charge people for them though unless you get the publisher's permission, and believe me the royalties ain't pretty !

I thought as much, i will have to check it out. Do they have a website Fractured Music?

I am currently uploading LWTUA from the gig so will be available in a matter of minutes on our website hopefully.

Is it not London Records?

No, London Records own the recordings, but you aren't selling the recordings. Fractured Music own the copyright to the publishing of the songs, and if you release a CD of the songs, you invoke the publishing contract. The band may of course decide not to want any royalties, but could also stop you from selling copies if they are shit !

Best contact is probably the band's management Prime Management, who don't have a website but do have their contact details on various recent New Order releases.

I see what you mean.

Can you lot sort out a gig for March 19th?

There'll be loads of us in town for the Kraftwerk shows the night after.

T'would be better than ending up in a nightclub watching Johnny Giles dance:D
