Ha ha! Gary Edwards' old man (Gary posted here once, I think) actually calls everyone a "cunt's cunt!" Gary once broke his leg and the lads took a sweepstake on what the first two words would be when his Dad saw him. Sure enough .. .
I use the word 'cunter' a lot, but think it sounds quite nice really, like it's a jokey nudge-nudge wink-wink insult. It's used all over another site a frequent as the original expletive is banned but this one slips through.

In fairness to Floyd I had a go on his server on Saturday cos I didn't have MP3's of Lamacq or Peel, and some of the dodgy remixes make interesting listening as well. Why all the official stuff is listed though is beyond me. That's just taking the biscuit somewhat. Anyways, as me and Mr Solitude know, you can pick up New Order's entire history on MP3 fairly cheaply from the Ukraine!

And I even bought Retro! and I have a promo of that one as well!
I believe mp3 is very very useful for rare out of print stuff, or to evaluate something before buying it, but in a case of a band you are a real fan to.. I mean, when there is a radio hit somewhere and I know it's the only song I will like, I don't tend to buy the record, yes I download the tune.. but if I were a real fan, I would buy the record...
I have a huge collection of CD singles because of that , and to be honest, I wasted way too much money on this.. in our days now, most mixes suck, so it's not worth the money most of the time...
Then again, I had to have all New Order ones :D

downloading these mp3's from Floyd's server do not deter me from buying CD's, in fact it's quite the opposite, it encourages me to hunt down official releases. I listened to the 316 mp3's and immediately went out to buy the dvd (511 to follow soon). If I could buy stuff like the original 7/12" ceremony or temptation on CD or in mp3's from itunes I would... Floyd rules!
No, no - go back to the "cunt" debate: probably my favourite ever discussion on this forum. Also add "cunted" - being very drunk or wasted via some other substance(s); alternatively, being extremely disappointed (ie - on any given Saturday, if Stoke lose and Cardiff win, I will naturally feel more than a little cunted).

99% of the shit on Floyds server isn't sold in stores and if it is, it's in a second hand store and the band won't see a penny of it anyway. You just can't handle anyone else doing fans a service...you dogged Floyed and you had negative shite to say about the Paradise Man...grow up or move on.

Is it just me or is everyone getting a little "catty" these days? Some bad blood is building up that's gonna be let eventually (as we can see in the Julio incident).

When I log on and find this thread, set up by someone who doesn't know me from Adam and who has only been a member a week slagging me off for no reason whatsoever, I think I am entitled to have something to say back, don't you ?
I will admit that I have been down on Floyd, the reason for which was quite clearly laid out above, he's built himself up a very neat little MP3 collection by setting up a server that receives but doesn't give out. All this "gateway 2 heaven" stuff gets on my tits, and I admit that. I know I'm not alone in that either.
