Yes, Andy Morrison made a list of New Order tracks not available on CD. He posted the link 586 times and the last one was two days ago.
Hi folks, (lads'n'lasses)...
...from Andrew Morrison's NEW ORDER tracklist:
no.04 In A Lonely Place (12'): ...I can't help myself, but I'm really not able to hear a difference between this version and the 'Retro' cd-released version...
no.40 Confused Beats (12'): ...was also released on the cassette-single (AUS) [factory facc93] in 1984; the reason for telling this, is the possibility to get a 'scratches-free' version of that tune (but it's not released on cd, that's right)...
no.282 Blue Monday '95 (Hardfloor Edit): ...is also released on the UK-promo cd-single [london ncdj7] in 1995...
no.295 Everything's Gone Green (Dave Clark Mix) and no.296 Temptation (CJ Bolland Mix): ...both were also released on the cassette-version of 'The Rest Of'; same reasons as above, on 'Confused Beats'...
no.379-no.382 Someone Like You (different versions): ...seemed to be released on a Greek and on a U.S.A. promo cd-single in 2002...
...from Andrew Morrison's NEW ORDER soughtlist:
no.12 True Faith (Eschreamer Dub): ...was released on the compilation-2cd 'CreamLive', in 1994...
...and several earlier 12' tracks were simply faded out being a single track then, but without any remixing...
...end of explanation...

I believe that Andrew has a somewhat personal definition of "what's not on CD"... I had it explained to me that too hard-to-find promo CDs doesn't really count... ![]()

Though several minutes are missing compared to the full version...

Yeah, I got that bundled for free with the (best of) NO UK Box set (With CD and MC) back in 96 or something. So the promos don't count? That's goofy!!

Hi all. Yeah, the links has been posted a few times! Anyway, as discussed here before, there are two different 12" versions of IALP, and just the one 7" faded-out version. The two 12" mixes have slightly different tonal qualities, but the key thing is to listen out for the digital thunderclap sounds... They occur in different places. Compare the final bar or two of both 12 inches, if you don't believe me!
Now, someone get me to explain again about the difference between the Fine Time LP version and 12"!
Andy.
