great he wouldnt need an autocue either. we just make a voice print of his singing, enter everything into the computer then he could use all his energy on dancing. im not sure you can make the software go 'wooooo!' every 30 seconds though.

When he tries, like on 316, he's not that bad live, except for on Bizarre Love Triangle. And, who the heck wants to see Barney dance more? His dancing downright frightened my sister.
How come he can't sing like he did in '93? He had great pitch and didn't feel the need to whoop and jump around during every goddamn song.

Perhaps Hooky just ought to chain him in place on stage for the whole show so we don't need to see anymore bad aerobics moves. Well, at least he isn't doing the running man on stage. But, on Electronic Ecstacy at least, his voice was good, although he altered a few pitches for R&R.
perhaps with so much now coming off of tapes (read an article on the live producer trying to playback the master of LWTUA and carbon starts flying off it) perhaps barney just wants to ram home that this singing *is* live :)
His singing on the Finsbury Park DVD was pretty good. I just think he needs to work harder to memorize the lyrics of his songs. It doesn't make a good live dvd when you notice the lead singer glancing constantly at the prompter to sing the lyrics of one of their more popular songs!!!
Or the drugs melted his brain!
Who knows, but back in the day, fucked up out of his head, he could still remember the lyrics, and make up some funny new ones to new songs :D
