Alright, I've been lazy for a while, I didn't do digitalizing I should have done a long time ago.

But I just bought a brand new TV tuner card which does capture a LOT better than my old one.

So I started to digitalize the tapes people sent me over the years, I did emok's Brazil tape but this one is pretty bad once played here, seems like the color was lost in some NTSC-PAL transfer... :(

So I also put Shug's tape in, I found a Celtic game on one of them  but you will have to send me the track listing once again!

I did digitalize a version of LONESOME TONIGHT live, which is inserted in the middle of a temptation done in 82, it's now on the site (Video>Live), but I must say the quality is rather bad, this is at least a 3rd generation tape, and the conversion PAL<>NTSC probably didn't help either...

But it's still watchable, for oldies..

So, where is that one from?

Oh, and people will stop saying negative things about teleprompters when they see that one

Nicos - I will gladly help out.

Not gonna be Online for a bit, so please send me an idea of what I sent to you to :

sludden.hugh@recticel.com

the one you mention above with Celtic beating Livingston 5-1 to clinch the league title, has Reading 98 on it, as well as Crystal and Here To Stay on TOTP.

Lonesome Tonight inbetween Temptation? off hand it sounds like the versions for Play At Home 1984. Although Temptation 82 sounds like Riverside to me. (Unable to check it from here cos I'm down ma Grandparents....I'll try during the week)

I can send you my database for their Live TV Appearances if you would like. It is not 100% up to date, but it'll give you a very good idea of what they did and when.....and on what TV Show:thumb: This is also stored on my work computer - so it's not a problem.

Play At Home was broadcast in Aug '84. In this one, Barney's playing a black f-stop Gibson, and Hooky has a short ponytail and is wearing a Fun House black T-shirt...Gillian's keyboards are more streamlined than what they were playing for US '83...so it's not too much of a stretch to figure this was footage from a date on their 8/84 UK sojourn.

Lonesome Tonight itself has interesting variations... "How many times before could I tell I didn't care? How many times before did you comb your long black hair?" and "Do you believe in truth? The lies we told our youth. A Hitler of our own, a home I call my own..." ...don't recall offhead hearing those elsewhere.

Bernard especially songs the wrong melody over the lyrics, so it's pretty weird...

Since it's 1984 though and the song was released in 1985, maybe that explains it.
