yep...I'm down here on vacation, and I would like to visit the 2 venues they have played in this town...
I have located the City Colliseum...but do any of you (Michael, since you are a t-sipper) know where this club nightlife was located???
my friends have no idea, and I can't find anything about it on the net...
There's a poster and handbill from the gig on the relevant Concert Browser page, but the print is too small to read. Can't find anything else about it anywhere at the moment, will keep trying.
well...I reckon one could say the trip to the Austin City Coliseum was a waste of time...as the building was demolished last year...found out that the building was actually an old airplane hangar that the city purchased from the government after WWII....
still no information on Nightlife...but I haven't given up hope just yet...

Waterloo Records on 6th and Lamar(?) used to have a framed original poster from the '83 gig (that was signed by all four members) hanging on the back wall of their store. Maybe you can get some details off of that poster or an (older) employee at the store can help you out.

If its the one I'm thinking of, and it has to be given your description, that building was a dump. They had the Austin Record Convention there one year when the parking around Palmer Auditorium was under construction. Can't believe NO played there.
well...the trip to Waterloo was informational...Nightlife was located at 4th and Congress...but it isn't there any longer either...it was torn down to make room for a parking lot...crud!!!

Waterloo used to be such a great record store...back when there was such a thing.
