It's Friday and I want to get loaded and break wind

Somebody, 'please', recommend me a decent film to view tonight. It's like ice station zebra crossing at my house and the thought of walking the streets for a beer or 9 the night sounds like a recipe for big trouble in the littlest hobo. It's cold, and I fancy wrapping up warm and watching a belter.

I was going to hire 'Dogfight' but they haven't made it yet.

Any credibile suggestions would be carefully considered as the local BackboneBuster has recently received 249 copies of 'Meet my own Parents' and if my bird spots that I'm fucked. For example, the last time she selected without my superior filming knowledge I had to sit through The fucking 'Buster Klumps'... 'Doctor Doo-fuck all II' starring the Beverly Hills Cop himself, Edward Murphoid!!!!!!

'The Gift', starring the very lovely Cate Blanket would be appropriate for viewing on a cold winter night such as tonight. The right blend of suspense, entertainment and of course Katie Holmes' pert young titties should keep boredom at bay. Great film!

Anal Island 2 is quite good.

Interesting choice Smuffler the Mule... psychic thread throughout, a bit of snow, that lass from Jaspers Creek with the unusually old/young looking fascia, a small dabbling of Matrix Reaves, a dead man in a swamp (your basic story inclusion), a jeep and an interesting bloke in the air scene and yes, you've got a nice set of titties there.

Unfortunately I've seen it.

Oddly enough I took me bird to see it for her birthday and I think the words she used were "Oh no, not another spooky psychic film". (Yes I thought, she deserves something special for her Birthday).

I'm off to see 'Harry Potter' tomorrow night with a wee chick. I saw the trailer a few weeks ago and it looks really good, I fancy 'Lord of the Rings' too when that comes out.

Lord of the Ringers looks like the next Star Wayne without Ja Ja Spunks. I am too going to witness the specialised effects and hope they've managed to tag the story in there somewhere.

I didn't realise Harry's Potty was out tomorrow?... I might switch seeing 'The Other skinny Kidman's' to Harold Potist.

It's a preview of Harry's Potty i'm seeing, it's just an excuse to get showing the film a week early, the official release is'nt till the 16th.

I'm told The Other Side of Nicole is actually quite good, Huntsy. If I went to movies I definitley would see it.

It's difficult to tell you which film to see, Huntsmate, since I don't know your tastes or what you've already seen...

I quite liked 'Unbreakable, lately, but I don't know if it's your cup of tea.

The Goonies was piss, I remember thinking it might be as good as an Indy film but it was just flat as a panbake.

Buster I went to see Unbreakable Glasses recently and it is my type of film. Not as good as The Seventh Sense but still worth it for Sammy L Jackson's hilarious character who couldn't make his mind up whether he was meant to be a black guy from the 80's or a freak boy underworld fettler from a banned horror flick.

Me thinks I'll stick with Band of Brothels and be done with it.

film recommendations from the demented Tabsy: If it's horror (sci-fi) you seek- 1.The Thing (1982)-dman good flick from what I saw of it though my fingers. It may have been heavily edited for the basic-cable outlet I viewed it on, however, so might not be a good snuggle-up movie 2.Blade Runner (1981?)-Harrison Ford's best non-SW role, imho 3.Aliens (1986)-More than makes up for that steaming load of turd James Cameron made called "Tit-anic" (hard to believe the same guy made this) 4.Clockwork Orange (1971)-Malcolm McDowell's single best performance ever, hands down (It's all downhill from there for the poor bastard) 5. 1. The Filth and The Fury (2000)- Quite possibly the most fun I've had watching a flick is laughing over John Lydon's pointed remarks about his bandmates and the British upperclass. Can't Miss.

If you've seen all these already, that's cool, just trying to steer you to the stuff I'd say was essential viewing (or at least fun)

To Live and Die in LA.... there's a good one. And of course, you could go with Bright Lights, Big City. Maybe its Bongwater you are after, a fine film with Jack Black. Or my fave stand-by Grosse Point Blank.

Come to that, has anybody here actually sat in a cinema and simply let rip like never before during a quiet bit of a film? We're talking seriously seismic here. So come on, be honest.
