Lonesome Tonight bores the utter shit out of me. Liar is so cheesy it's ridiculous. Run Wild was a horrible way to end Get Ready. But then again, I hate acoustic songs. And Every Little Counts has the worst lyrics to any song ever, though the cover by Equatronic is somehow tolerable.

I agree with others on Run Wild, and also never cared for Every Little Counts. Those songs make WIM look like a number one hit - oh, yeah it was one.

Fine Time. I never liked it and probably never will. And, then there's that awful version of subculture on Substance I always fast-forward through.

At this point in time, I gotta agree with Don, about Rock The Shack and its chorus, and with Twist, about TBTHOG; that's one song I always skip when on a disc, etc.

On reflection Sub Culture/Dub Vulture, Shame Of The Nation, Spooky ( orig ), Way Of Life, ELC are generally songs I avoid IMO.

Fine Time just goes on for too bloody long!

Most of Technique????!!!! Oh man, I just felt a great disturbance in the force. I think Technique is one of those beginning to end awesome albums... like the original PC&L and LowLife.

Blue Monday - the worst most boring poorly aging song ever by NO Rock The Shack - because of the chorus World In Motion - should have been done by the B52's instead Leave Me Alone - dumb, borin', pointless

Not much i don't like really.What tends to happen for me is i would go six months without listening to ANY NEW ORDER or JOY DIVISION.Then when i return to them they are welcomed back with open arms.I hate skipping tracks on CD's unless it is a greatest hits/best of.CONFUSION i detested for quite some years and WIM ,BLUE MONDAY and EVERY LITTLE COUNTS can annoy but otherwise go and play CLIFF RICHARD for a few weeks.Then go back to the lads and see how bad they are. ;)

I agree with Mick, i tend to dip into the Order much more now that i used too, in my late teens/early twentys they were on on all the time and i listened to little if not nothing else!!

Now I appreciate them in short bursts rather than listening the them day in day out with no other variety.

I still find it hard to NOT listen to a NewOrder album from start to end though (unless its the Brotherhood CD ending in SOTN )

I've always had phases of bands. I would discover a new band and buy everything they've done, get the bootlegs, see them play etc, then move onto the next one, all the time expanding my record collection. Never ditched any of the bands on the way though (even though the bollocks spouted by Nicholas Wire has got me close !). Joy Division and their reincarnation have always been there though, since January 1979. Even though between 89 and 93 and 93 and 02 I didn't give a monkeys about them, I still occasionally played the albums and some tapes. Since this site opened up a whole world of fellow travellers, and the band returned with a vengeance, the New Order phase has been as strong as ever.

I don't mind State Of The Nation, but I agree that they shouldn't have ended Brotherhood CD with it. Open with it if you have to.
