On the way to work this morning, I heard BLT on the radio...

can anyone explain to me why, after all these years, that anytime I hear the order on the radio, I still get chills???

they don't get played much here in Dallas, but you would think that I should not get quite so excited about hearing a song that I have heard hundreds, if not thousands, of times...

anybody else affected like this???

Yes, know what you mean. It's like a bolt from the blue! I especially get goosepimperley when I hear True Faith. Don't know why it is. It must be because the music is so close to your heart. But why is it a different sensation to when you are playing a CD??

exactly...I can't put my finger on it...and it's starting to scare me...a grown man shouldn't get so excited about something that he has heard so many frigging times...

Maybe it's because you know all the un-educated musos out there are being force-fed some culture. It's my culture, so bloody well like it!

On the rare (extremely rare) times I hear NO on the radio, I try and enjoy the moment due to its relative rarity. :thumb:

Jeff I know exactly how you feel; I get the same feeling whenever I hear any New Order or Joy Division.

You're definitely not alone in that respect either Jeff, the fact that we've spent a lot of time and money with regard to the output of this fantastic band certainly overrides the qualms about hearing one of their US hits on the radio, especially in the context of what's played around it.

I don't think I've heard much NO on the radio (mostly in clubs, though), but during the summer, the Top 40 radio station, during its "Old School" Sunday in which old '80s and '90s dance music is played, I heard BLT, while I was at work. Now, considering mostly early '90s rap (MCHammer, Vanilla ice, that "I've got the power" song) or late '90s dance music get played, I was shocked but glad to hear NO. Then a co-worker of mine shut off the radio. :nonono::nonono:

Agree it can be a strange sensation hearing NO , out of the blue , heard True Faith in my local park recently on a gardeners radio, I can only assume he was demonstrating the video to his colleague ....unless he was just givin him a slap.
