A bit anal I know, but the tracklisting for the new sessions CD doesn't match the order in which they were originally broadcast.

Is this also the case for the 81 - 82 sessions? And the JD ones, even?

Maybe they weren't broadcasted in the order they recorded it.

Does it matter? I'm just happy that I will have in my hands a record of New Order playing Joy Division tracks IN STUDIO...

Plus the best versions of Slow Jam, Close Range, Rock The Shack and Your Silent Face ever done!

I was tired of having the mp3 I have ;)

Are the new sessions CDs going to be released in North America, or just in the UK, like what PSB did to their box set?

Well, it's just that I've got used to listening to them in that specific order, and now that's going to change and it could upset the whole space / time continueum.

On the other hand, you're right. It doesn't matter...

You can all utilize the Internet more than adequately. You must all be technologically compentent. Virtually every CD player has a 'program' function. You. Can. Program. Your. C. D. Player. To. Play. Them. In. The. Original. Running. Order.

Simple, see?!

All we need to know, is what was the original running order... Hang on, I've a TDK tape somewhere with the Peel session on...

Okey dokey... First broadcast 30/12/'98:

  1. Isolation
  2. Touched By The Hand Of God
  3. True Faith
  4. Paradise
  5. Atmosphere (Yeah, it was better in that order, wasn't it?) Plus on the same show, John Peel also played the following tracks from the 1998 Reading Festival (that we all now have on '3 16':
  6. Regret
  7. Heart And Soul
  8. Bizarre Love Triangle
  9. Blue Monday

BUT: what was the original running order of the Steve Lamacq session??

I won't be able to listen to Isolation unless they have Gillian chuckling over the intro to it. :D

NOOL member voted Most Likely To Be Able To Spell (And Explain) The "Space-Time Continuum"... And the winner is...

Rather good news, all of this.

Perhaps we can all next petition to get a 12-track HI-NRG remix EP of Liar released? Or maybe we can get the ban lifted on Rocket Mick entering KFCs?

I don't know why, but Strange Fruit will probably give us another double CD someday with all the BBC Sessions of New Order together ;)
