Just goes to show how the filthy rich can pretend all they want that they have good taste. It won't make critics give his albums better reviews. Now if only he would kill himself too....
"Ummm, Joy Division, were that....you know, that one band...ummm....They had a song in that movie about the psycho kid and that giant bunny rabbit. Yeah...Joy Division."
"Love will tear us...hunh! apart! Yeah! Wiggy-wiggy woo!"
"Radio....beotch, live transmission!"
"She's Lost the Nookie/Yeah!/the Nookie/Yeah/ and she's lost her sh*t again..."
Can see he's lost the red Yankee's cap, ready to join 1998 :D Haven't heard the new CD, but the single "Behind Blue Eyes" isn't bad (for Limp Bizkit standards, mind you...it is rubbish)
Holy Crap, ONE MORE POST!!!! ![]()
wearing the shirt COULD make his fans want to check out jd and realize that jd is a million times better than the limp boys....they'd toss their cds buy the good stuff instead
well...i CAN fantasize...
Obviously he's just pandering to the Cure fan base (too bad he got JD mixed up with Fat Bob) :p :D

I'm surprised they're still around. I remember in 1998, in a high school freshmen gym class, this kid that liked Limp Bizkit told me that my favorite band at the time, Smashing Pumpkins, was a "bunch of pussies." I think I remember telling him LB was full of shit and that they'd fade away in a few years. I think I was almost fully correct.

Durst is a fuc'in fag!!! He found it in a record shoppe and thought it just looked cool. Like others here, I doubt he knows shite!!! His stylist is his guru....
maybe he should put that red cap on. a balding man singing crap songs isnt going to sell records to the youth of today.

First time I met you Mick, you were wearing a red Get Ready t-shirt, I seem to recall...... ![]()
Sported a Smiths 'Hatful of Hollow' t-shirt at the Kill Bill II premiere!
He's trying to cover all bases now, isn't he?!
What's next? Frankie Says Relax?! ![]()
I cannot believe what a bunch of elitist snobs you guys all are!!! Fred Durst, whether his band sucks or not, can wear whatever shirt he wants.
Limp Bizkit is not my favorite group, but at least they get their asses in and out of the studio and release some updated material every so often...They have also made boat loads of money and have a HUGE U.S. fanbase which is more than you can say about my favorite group; New Order...
Originally posted by His Holiness, The Pope I guess the DM shirt is the next one we'll see him wear.
I'll bet you five bucks he wears an Ian McCulloch wig

What fan base do they have now? They used to have a big fan base, and I used to think their cover of Faith was funny, but since the departure of Wes Borland, whatever his name is, the band nosedived and doesn't have any real commercial success anymore, and it's in a large part due to the fact people think Fred is a joke with his media overexposure whether it deals w/ Britney or his involvement in a commercially released porn tape. He has ever right to wear these shirts, but by doing so, he looks like he is pitifully trying to regain some musical credibility, and this is especially dubious with the current revival of The Cure and Moz. Fred is a dick and deserves as much respect as Right Said Fred.

I can only hope John Kerry uses it at some point as a campaign themesong.

hit the nail on the head! since the wes guy split, it has been all downhill. and speaking of wes, and going down hill, he was at one of our recent LA shows we played with Devics, sans make-up. almost didn't recognize him. it was funny to see him trying to blend in with the LA crowd. he grew his hair out, and was wearing leather pants! ![]()
Fred durst wearing that shirt is one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen. That guy is a complete bozo. One of my friends had the unfortunate job of dealing with Freddie on a number of occaisions. He is a complete wanker. He talks a lot of crap, and can't back it up.
That said, I suppose it's possible that he actually likes joy division. Unlikely, but possible. I certainly wouldn't count on it. I suspect it's part of the whole "hipster" thing that goes on around the U.S. (do you have this problem elsewhere?)
Right now, it's considered "hip" to wear shirts with bands from the 70's and 80's whether you like the bands or not. In most instances, these pretentious idiots have never even heard OF the bands, much less heard their music. I saw a girl approximately 15 years old wearing giant pants, spiked belt, untied skateboarding shoes, dyed red hair... and a RUSH 2112 t shirt. I mean come on.
i think you are very right, it is definetly a fashion trend. i know talking about the cure especially on digital republic is taboo, but i had to post this to back your point. it's very sad, but sums up american culture right now.

I just love how the hat is described as 'vintage'. This hat has the same worth as a vintage plumbing system.
vintage? that font is from wild mood swings, 1996. i have the same patch but in yellow. i wonder of anyone bid on that thing yet.
Suprisingly no one has bid on it, but those would surely sell like hotcakes if it was sold at Hot Topic.

I agree. That's where all the hip high schoolers buy their Clash tees. ![]()

Even worse, it's the place where kids get their Dropkick Murphy's shirts, their MxPx shirts. Also it's the same place where people buy Jhonen Vasquez merchandise (Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, Invader Zim). ![]()
i actually stop in there sometimes cause they carry cds from metropolis records. expensive as shit though. i do get funny looks from these wanna be goth kids whenever i go in there. you know the ones with korn and manson shirts (did you know they were goth?)luckily i found a cool used record store with an ebm/industrial section with all the metropolis records and a different drum stuff, but it's an hour and a half away. worth it considering hot topic is 45 minutes away. whats an extra 45 minutes to get cool cds for cheaper?
