Confirm by Hooky himself over the phone, his new side project featuring Mani (Primal Scream and ex Stone Roses) and Andy Rourke (ex The Smiths) has been named "Free bass".

New Order is actually in studio outside Manchester working on the new album. More news soon!!!!

So Sultan has a hooky hotline! not a bad setup at all. At least we know they are brewing something in the studio. I do think that gillians departure will effect things, it just isnt new order with phil cunningham eh? the group dynamic will totally shift for a start, not no mention the reported absence of keyboards / synths for this album :(:(

yeah - i cant see freebass being much good to be honest. do any of them play any other instruments. Hooky without a bass would just be wrong so very very wrong.if he was playing a guitar, hed loose all his manly mulletedness in one go - hed might as well dress up in a frock and tie the old mullett into a pig tail or something.

he does play that electronic drumpad thing. could work - hooky on drums?
