Kind of funny, but I don't think it's too related to the song if you ask me.
Anyway, is there any New Order video really related to the song? :D

Just looked at it - somewhat funny.
Did they filmed it in one of your wonderful Canadian forests Nic? The landscape looks like it.. (dunno if fake or real grizzlies live there anyway)
I actually really like this video. It shows a good sense of humor and a regular guy with a shitty job in his own little world listening to New Order. I don't like the drop-outs but if i saw this on tv i'd be thrilled.
Where was it filmed? I was thinking somewhere in the Pacific Northwest because of the scenery but there are loads of places with hills and trees. Anyone know for sure?
a wonderful video if you ask me. Since when should a vid relate to the song? Besides , i have never ever seen a bad vid for a new order song come to think of it.

Last thing I've heard, the video was supposed to be shot in SPAIN.. this doesn't look like Spain.. and the guy is driving the good side of the road, so it's obviously not in the UK or Japan :p
Don't know.. could be a good question to ask the band.. or should I say the management, since the band probably have never seen it....
At least, it's funny and I saw a photograph of the band with Barney's(or anyone,I'm not sure) autograph on it.
Well....interesting video...
I thought it was pretty funny, but I disagree that NO have made bad videos (or had bad videos made for them) with the possible exception of Confusion - ver poor.

hey...what was wrong with confusion, I really dug watching that mamacita make pizzas to a New Order beat, and that subway ride...mesmerizing...erm...never mind, I seem to have answered my own question!
Well, actually Confusion is what it is.. the band recorded the song, went straight to a club and played it there...!
Nicolas, I hate to break in on this thread, but I wondered if you would cast your vote on the Get Ready poll. We would appreciate having your entry.

But Nic,as you said...looking back on all the vids...how many of them are actually related to the song??? I mean other than the perfect kiss, which is just them in a rehearsal room, the others really seem very odd for the songs. I still remember the first time I saw the video for True Faith (on MTV, no less, back before they really SUCKED), I thought I was on drugs the first coupld of times I saw it...
The worst new order video without a doubt is Run. Its absolutely crap!
I quite like the 60mph vid, especially when Captain Hollister from Red Dwarf appears at the end.

Well... there is some, like Regret, where it's the band themselves, not related to the band.. I found the video for Ruined in a Day quite good and funny...
The World video is probably the ONLY ONE I can think of related to the song... and you know that only at the end :D
Let's see. starting with non-live videos...
Blue Monday 83.. Not Related Confusion - A little related, band + Baker + dance club. The Perfect Kiss - Well, it's the band.. State of the Nation - Not really related, but Live parts.. BLT - Not related True Faith - Unless this is a bad trip.. not related.. TBTHOG - Movie video, so it is related, and very funny parody of hair metal bands. Blue Monday 88 - Not related, but the band is there.. Fine Time - Is it related?! Maybe. Round & Round - Somehow related, but we can forgive them :D Run - Not related at all World In Motion - Totally Related... Regret - Band, so related RIAD - Not related, but band + funny World - Related Spooky - Not related True faith 94 - "Best of" videos.. unrelated Nineteen63 - Totally unrelated Blue Monday 95 - Unrelated Crystal - Unrelated 60 Miles An Hour - Unrelated
So.. not much isn't it?
I've always quite liked the ambiguity of their vids. Fine Time is clearly related Nic, ie a young kid messing with a pill..I.E your much too young to mess around with me (E)
That Run vids one of my favs...no idea why, but I think its got a strange charm about it

The Run video is brilliant, but I still think TBTHOG is the best piss-taking video ever!!
I realy dig the Run video. Kinky parts with that old man and the pretty little girl. Do you think its their own idea or is it somebody else's.?

Mario, this could explain why you have to keep logging on to this sight, do you often delete your cookies?;)
The run video is cack. I could've done better with a camcorder and a budget of zero.
My version of the run video:
There, thats much better than some old git and concert footage.

Totally agree with you on 'Run', Seb. There's some humanity in it, I think.

I too agree on the humanity and charm of the "Run" vid. Wonderful juxtaposition with the old sad/happy man, the young Mexican(?) girl and a rather tw*tted Barney. Strange chemistry, but it works.
BUT...BUT .....BUT....BUT......WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DURACELL BUNNY??? I mean, you can hear him very clearly on the song itself...I was hoping he'd make an appearance. God! I'm so disappointed now.
Right, for that, here's my revised chart prediction for 60mph for the week ending 25th November:
NUMBER 48 WITH A BULLET.......BYE BYE!!!! ![]()
60 mph is a great video. Funny, related just in the way you shuld be listening to the song on the road. I think it may be more successful than Crystal. For me, Regret is the best New Order video. It's very well produced. The worst (if I could say it from some New Order material) is Confusion. But somebody said that it is what it is and it is true! (ha,ha).
Actually the video for Run is not that bad.. I don't get it sure, but I very like this song, and I find the live parts quite good.. and when the little girl starts spinning and drumming etc...
Not their best, but sure is enjoyable.. it's a typical "we don't wanna be in our own video" New Order.. they are there via POSTERS and some live clips..
Just like 60 MPH is, except there is no live clips at all...
But 60 MPH is really a great driving song you can sing out loud and look like a fool on the highway.. :D
I disagree with those who mentioned Confusion as their worst video. It's not so bad!! And Bernard's real cute in that video!!
:)
If there is a worst video, it has to be Shellshock... Or Spooky, because Spooky is the only video I haven't seen yet.
