holy shit next year barneys 50 where have the years gone is there a chance were all going to become rolling stone types saying stuff like i remember when! o my god im getting old when my fav band are all nearly half a century old.

But there is a difference. The band members may be almost 50, but the band will only be 25 years old next year (almost 30 if you count Warsaw/Joy Division). However, the Rolling Stones have been a band for more like 50 years, and its members have to be close to 80!

Musically though - don't worry - how old are Kraftwerk - and they're still releasing great material - if anyone's heard the remixes of Aerodynamic (some of which are by Messrs Hutter & Schneider), you'll know what I mean.

baby-faced eternally young not anymore... saw some recent pictures and he looks much older than two years ago... fatter, grey hair balding and glasses! He doesn't look older than a man aged 50, it's just at 46 he looked like he was 36...
