New Order and Making Out

Does anyone know what what the theme music was, by New Order, from the mid-80's television series "Making Out" ?

Bootlegs? Whats wrong with Round & Round cd single? Its on there along with the other TV theme "Best & Marsh".

It's not really Vanishing Point though is it? More a separate instrumental track. Granted it got mixed up with VP for that b-side...

If I remember correctly, the version your link goes to was in the final series, for the first series, it was definitely the same production and mix as the version on the Round & Round CD single, which is undeniably 'Vanishing Point'. Perhaps they got Steve and Gill to remix the music again for the last series. There were some other really lovely instrumentals in 'Making Out' though - I remember one that sounded a lot like Round & Round, that never made it into a New Order or Other Two recording.

well steve and gillian did most if not all of the insidental (laugh at the spelling) music for this series as far as im aware?.

I listened to the track, kind of sounds like something from the old "Sonic the Hedgehog" games. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

cant remember making out, but the incidental music on common as muck was them IIRC

have i missed any?,and what tracks were used in Reportage?

I seem to remember that the Reprtage theme may have formed the basis of World In Motion? I remember (vaguely) a little report in the NME in which Steven was asked if he had ripped off the Reprtage theme and he replied tersely that he had written the Reportage theme so fuck off. Or along those lines anyway.

O2 did the theme for "America's Most Wanted", not that I've ever heard it...

don't know much about the series, but just listening to the linked mp3 is enough to make me wanna say that this is basically vanishing point remixed. the production may be different, but that's allowed when remixing.
