I know they aren't "live" and I know that the group likes them. I was only saying I don't like about half the songs...so why would I spend money on it? If they came out with a polka album I probably wouldn't buy that either. Like I said, I'm apt to give it a chance but I'm not expecting to instantly fall in love with "Rock the shack" or "Slow Jam". I also have "Transmission" on about 4 other releases, heh. I hope I'm proven wrong and the songs I do like make it worth picking up, their live performances have been good recently so who knows? Time will tell.
Well, they are unique recordings of these songs, I know for sure that Rock The Shack is MUCH MUCH better without Bobby Gilespie, Close Range is unique as it has the elements of the demo versions (pre-Osbourne) when the song as called Dream On... Your Silent Face is wonderful, and that has to be the best version of Atmosphere...
And you also have unique versions of Touched, True Faith, etc...
I've been waiting since 1998 to buy this damned album!!!
Don't like it, don't buy it.. but in my head, this is an opportunity to finally get rid of the radio broadcast copies..
