Noticing it is the anniversary of this gig today, the audience copy I have seems to have a large proportion of Brits in the audience. Were these squaddies or did the band get followed by British fans around the continent?

I remember this being mentioned in google groups years ago, and someone there also wondering if it was just full of squaddies.
Molly went over for this one on a coach trip with London Calling, alongside such luminaries as Jon Marsh and that bloke from EMF (the one who was older than the rest of them, obviously). Only one coachload I think - obviously fairly vociferous!

I guess the presence of a coachload of Brits didn't stop Barney from spouting out some lovely pidgingles: "We play special long set for you Germans tonight". Of course, they played on less song than the night before... also features the debut of Skullcrusher and the IALP, introduced as "the most evil song I have ever heard in my life."
Cheers Al, sounds like a sizeable contingent and the gig was a pretty fast affair. I gather there's program on your beloved team and the goings on of last summer due on the box?

Indeed, supposed to be on April 15th, but has been pulled again. Not sure why. Could be comedy event of the century, if they play it for laughs. Unless of course they actually believe Gurney was trying to do the right thing. But then, no one can be that stupid, surely?
