singles going steady

So why didn't NO play 'Here to Stay' at any of their (admittedly very few) live shows since the release of the single? And were there any other singles that the band has put out that they waited a long time (or perhaps forever) before playing?

Maybe Phil could only learn so much before gigging??

Well, Phil seemed to mime HTS pretty well.

Our source close to the band told us before the Paris show that it was one of those that had been programmed and rehearsed, so we fully expected it to be part of the 2002 set. Only the band themselves will know why it wasn't !

Guess it wasnt "Here to stay" after all then?

cause its shite - compared with anything off get ready (bar 3), or anything off their big wide unused back catalouge?

Being rehearsed is not an excuse. Saw Snow patrol recently, and someone kept calling for How To Be Dead. Gary Lightbody tried on more than one occasion to get out of it by saying that they "didn't know how to play it properly". Eventually the guy in the audience wore them down and they played it. OK so it was a bit ropey and he forgot the some of words, but the crowd were putty in their hands after that.

definitely love this track...and would have liked to have heard it live. though, i'm not sure how "live" it would have been. maybe next time...

for me, here to stay made up for some of the short-comings of Get Ready. it revitalized me...

Never played Spooky live either. That would be kinda neat though. Especially if they tried one of the remixes.

Here to Stay would be a nice opener for the next batch of concerts. I wouldn't mind them opening up with something new either.

they did do area one... there is some hope they MAY come back around. I was aware of area one when it happened, but I was not much of a NO fan those three years back.

i forgot why, but i simply couldn't go. besides, i was foolish enough to think that they were going to pick back up and do some touring of the ol' USofA. boy, do i feel stupid.

I was living on the East Coast 2000-2001 (Charleston, SC), and timed my move back to California to coincide with Area One at the Shoreline Amphitheatre.

Any concert,anywhere would be a good thing. But luckily if they do put a gig on its probably gonna be in the UK,so i`ll be able to go (unless they sell out as quick as Glasto).:)
