About last monday 12th

Due to serverproblems at work,from where i do all my mailing and surfing, i havent been able to check out the Dry bar or post anything for a couple of days. Well , i would like to say that i had a hell of a good time last monday-night. Listening to New Order and chatting at the same time. Ever since i found out about this fabulous New Order website my life has changed again. For the past 8 years where sad new orderless times(in spite of their sideprojects) and i realy thought Republic was closing an era. Thank god it wasnt so! Therefore i would like to thank all you guys and girls who are giving their wonderful contributions to this forum. To me the band seems to have more fun in performing than they ever had before. Thanks a lot all you people,love you all.

And to you Mario - thanks for sharing your views with us whilst I was enjoying myself in Amsterdam last week and I posted the two Dutch-music-related threads. All your comments were greatly appreciated (Dutch Jim! eventually logged on to the site only yesterday to check it out....) - and thanks for the invite to maybe join up whenever I should be in Holland next. :)

Gee, thanks Jeff, my revolver was just about to be re-loaded there for a minute. You know, I do not make these stories up just for the hell of it - there's a time and a place for that (and my, now thankfully deceased, alter-ego GARY RITMAN, whom I finally banished from these posts just a few days ago in a frenzied tete-a-tete showdown that a lot of you probably missed (ask Liv) , was just conjured up from my good self - whilst I was enjoying myself in Amsterdam - simply to use as a vehicle for my TRUE gobshiteyness, if you know what I mean). The Ian Curtis thing WAS freaky, and I'm honestly sympathetic enough about the poor guy and his widow and daughter to know better than make up frankly ridiculous fabricated stories concerning his old place.

Pas mal, chouette!........Ah....it's nothing really - I'm no expert at languages by any means, I'm just very aware about being perceived as ignorant should I be in the presence of fellow Europeans, that's all. Hence the brief pleasantries. I only speak a tiny bit of basic French - likewise German. What would make me happiest of all is when the day comes that I can speak and understand a little Dutch as well. I'm working on it! I'll let you know how well I get on! :)

Martin, Don't worry what some "gobshite" might say about you, you rock, and are entertaining as fuck on here. Your rants make me realise that my life isnt that shite after all. so for that alone, thank you :) I love you Martin (in a "I've never met you or even know you at all" kinda way xxxxxx)

If you want a cool place to go on Holiday, try Greece / its Islands. I fuckin love the place. Well cheap, top food, good weather, nice seas / swimming pools everywhere. The locals are dead friendly even to groups of English lads, and all they do is sit around in bars drinking some evil spirit called 'raki'.

BTW Martin, I don't think VG meant anything derogatory about the 'gobshite' comment. I, for one enjoy getting into work on a morning and reading your rants. Especially about kids and fireworks-I know exactly where your coming from....

Awww thanks for your kind words - I'm still thinking about packing it in actually - so I may yet use the occasion of my soon-come1000th post to make a grand statement and then find a tall building to throw myself and my computer off...maybe....>>>>> :(

Thanx mate ;) I think highly of you too! (but then don't you feel it's high time VG revealed him/her/self to us once and for all, by posting in a proper profile like most of the rest of us? I've suggested this to him/her just earlier in return....)
