Well almost, but 8000 posts anyway.

I had intended to be able to bring you exclusive news of a major event this summer for this milestone post, but I've been posting too much to be able to do that. Suffice to say that in the very near future, a major announcement will be made regarding a summer event of great magnitude in Manchester, something for all New Order fans and something for all those who have a vested interest in Community.

Fear not, we shall keep you all posted (and no this isn't a craptic plug for a Known Pleasures gig).

Well it's not a New Order gig, that much is certain.

I was thinking more along the lines of a Community gig, with some of the bands playing & as many NOOLers as possible meeting up.

There's your lot, certainly. Any other UK bands involved in Community? Oh, there's the Flight lads, isn't there?

Steve52, save your money - I've met maybe fifty-odd NOOLers. Like Sid Vicious said about the man in the street. They're all c---s! :D

I'll get to 8000, don't worry ;)

But with all this overtime I've been doing lately, let's say I didn't post much...

But now that I've bought myself a more decent computer, we'll see ;)

kREMLIN, Flight, Captain Black, SlightlyNarrow SoundSystem...

There are 4 UK bands, and you can count Known Pleasures since they are on the EP, that's 5.

Not counting a few in continental Europe... and those are only those on the album, there were more that participated in this project...

I can see how you thought it was them, but Juliette Binoche actually recorded it first....I know, twas a surprise to me too when I checked it up in the Guiness Book of British Hit Singles. Released 10-10-94 it charted at a disappointing 79! Hence us missing her on TOTP.
