These are not very LARGE books and the details i read about this the other month suggested a price of only £6 here in ENGLAND so 10 bucks sounds about right.Might be tempted then myself....oh go on then i WILL get it!:D

The author Chris Ott is quite a good scribe and long-time fan of the band. He writes reviews for pitchforkmedia.com although I personally find that site to be more than a little elitist in its analysis.

I have a feeling he may even drop into these forums occasionally. He was the one who wrote quite a scathing piece on the New Order side-projects and how non-plussed he is that diehard fans (ie us) are so supportive of them.

Still, could be a good read.

even amazon US? i ordered mine a few months ago and received it early last week. maybe only amazon UK is releasing it in july?

just checked amazon.com. i was curious as to why i got my copy so soon. anyway, the copyright date says july 2004 on the first page for some reason, but it IS available...even used copies are already in stock!

Ordered this and the Kevin Cummins book last week from HMV. Release date was given as 1/5/04. Not received them yet though.

The Joy Division book is already out in the US. Ive got it. its short, but really good, lots of information.

You can't help but feel disappointed - yet another NO/JD related product is released with an artwork faux pa. Whoever approved the artwork without noticing that the numbers are positiong the wrong way up needs boiling in tea tree oil. No doubt its the same fox that besmirched 3,500 re-issued Low-Life CD's with default courier font.

I don't think the extent of the damage was that extreme, but I could be malfunctioningx.

I was almost on the verge of returning my new NO Sessions CD that I purchased just last week after spending a good half-hour searching for 'Transmission Dancing on the Radio'. 'Only', repeat, 'only' after I had taken off the price tag to reveal 'SACD bonus malarky' did it dawn on me that they had exercised their right to introduce a cunning method of cross-platforming DVD with CD, disenabling the last track from 99.9% of all known CD players.

And to think, only a few years back man was able to chase wild cats with broom handles and knock them down in their prime for firewood.

I just watch the films.

At a guess, I would imagine it suggests blowing pineapple chunks onto a carefully arranged plate of gammon from a lightweight missile projector.

What's gammon?

So am I to understand that gammon is a cut of pork? Something other than bacon, ham, or loin? Perhaps the pigs listen to JD and NO as they stroll the hills, adding flavor and texture with every step?

I haven't seen them in person, but I imagine they do enjoy a stroll and a bit of music.

Gammon and Pineapple is a popular dish. Not with the pigs though, they prefer to save their bacon.

It would be shocking to think they might be cannibals.
