I will be attending this gig as I am huge fan of the madchester era and Rob Gretton is a hero of mine.
I just wondered if anybody knows if the rumour about New Order playing with ACR and The Doves is true. If it is true then why was it kept quiet?
I do admit it would seem quite wrong if New Order were not there since Rob Gretton helped them get fame.

If it's not true then Hooky's a big fibber - I asked him at Turnmills whether he was playing Gretton's do and that was the info he passed on.
Thanks, I will be quite disapointed now if it turns out to be not true. Why would they keep it quiet? I am guessing to this may be to keep the crowds genuine fans of that era.
If they advertised New Order would be their then I guess the event would be too popular. I've always wanted to be in the same room as Hooky but being quite young I've never had the chance.
