I went to Modtones.com and got Blue Monday and Bizarre Love Triangle to be my cell phone rings! It sounds really awesome and they have other new wave stuff on there too for people who want to have cool rings instead of the lame ones that just come with the phone. Does anyone else on here use Modtones.com? What songs do you have?

nope, don't work for modtones. i have a couple jobs actually, one in the music industry and another answering phones. Funny idea though. Anyhoo, maybe New Wave is inaccurate. I like The Epoxies, The Briefs, The Cripples. I guess they are New Wave. What is the appropriate way to refer to New Order in terms of genre? Old Wave? I'm bad at classifications.

Alternative...:D

Why thank you, sir... I did always find "alternative" to be problematic as a classification... Also far too broad. But maybe i'll go with it for now.

Is that a drink in your hand?

It soitanly is (a drink). And just so you're in the know, be sure to tell all the Brits on here that New Order is an alternative band.

Portland!! You must be familiar with The Epoxies, yes/no?

I learned about epoxy compounds in organic chemistry last quarter :p

Afraid as a student I don't have the money or the time to see bands...I've missed a lot of shows I would have liked to have seen.

So, eventually, getting to your question, no, I'm not familiar with 'em.

well Julie, if you were here earlier you would already know that NOOL'ers don't resort to buying cheap sounding ringtones from bogus companies, we program the rarities ourselves. Your Silent Face and The Happy One come to mind. your profile say's your a Male but Julie suggests you're not well hung. best pretend to be male unless you want a load of pathetic zitfaced newOrder obsessives constantly making kindergarden comments everytime you post. THE GUILTY PARTIES KNOW WHO THEY ARE!

My money still say's you work for Modfucks.com. What is your job in the music business and what University did you graduate from?

His name is Jules, like Jules Verne.

Wow you are being very mean and scary. I am new to this message board as you know and didn't realize my profile said male. I probably didn't check the box or something when I was going through. To be honest, you're freaking me out, and being a smart young lady with no interest in garnering any more stalkers on the internet than i already do in real life, I honestly have no desire to give you any more information than you already have. Why are you so very awfully concerned with this issue? I don't understand the negativity.

A girl named Jules?

Well welcome to the board.

Uhhm, before you lads start lining up to ask Jules for a date, you might want to check "her" profile. ;)

She's married? I bet I could change that. :thumb:

OK I hate to be the one to break this to you, but that picture is not actually me. It is a photo of a famous movie star. You may have heard of her. I, however, am immeasurably better looking than she is. I also have a terrible cold. But it has not yet affected my astonishing good looks.
