This Freebass project of Hooky's is said to be what he "introduced as the future" at the Turnmill's event according to the other site!

I suppose it is the future but where does NO fit into the equation?

Anyone who has heard the Freebass track - what do you think?

My initial thoughts were HERE.

The thing bothering me (except the obvious, which is, this can't be good news for the New Order album, it's delayed and delayed), there is no release date planned of any kind?

So this mean, if this is released in automn, forget any New Order album before winter...

What's next? a "half of the other two" album?

Obviously I'd love to see Bernard do a few collaboration of his own meanwhile, either they don't need Hooky for the current stage of the album, either he's a work horse and wants a "band" to do live things this summer ;)

Freebass will just be another Monaco type thing. Yeah, most of US will buy it,but will anyone else? If its gonna hold up a New Order album then id be disappointed. If they wanna do outside` the group stuff cant they do like a "New Order presents..." kind of thing, with them collaborating, producing & remixing other artists?

BTW, which label will be releasing this?

If Monaco has been dropped, which label would have interest in this?

I'm expecting this next NO album now to be their last, and there will be a farewell tour next year starting in the beginning of May. Maybe, just maybe, NO will grace America and perform at a US festival, maybe Coachella.

They'd rather play in Camden, NJ.

I assumed that he meant the track was called "The Future"... :skeptic:

Next album is to be called "Get Real"...

There will be no tour. They don't need it anymore, so why do something that they don't need ?

can this new Freebass vocalist write songs? has he recorded songs he has written?

hope this is not just another Potts in Monaco type deal.... Potts songwriting is unoriginal and lame IMO

well, as long as Hooky has fun it might still be cool
