New Order and Diesel

Just a little bit of information if you find it interesting. I was at the Beverly Center (It's a real big mall) yesterday and found myself in the Diesel store (not that I can afford it!) and they were playing New Order. Not just any New Order but the new album, all of it! They even had a little advertisement for it on the counter.

I was just suprised and a bit excited that they were playing it in that store. After all, it is an expensive store and atleast they are not playing it in Wal Mart.

I am just glad to hear that they are trying to spread the word and not really exploiting it.

Oh and I heard that a respected local radio DJ here played a re-mix of Crystal on his late night electronica show on KROQ. Interesting...

On a releated note, I heard Get Ready in the shuffle at Urban Outfitters today. The staff bring the music and there's a display by the door showing whats playing. Get Ready looked great at the top of the list. At least someone who works there has taste in music which is more than I can say about their fashion. I was buying DJ Krush tickets at Orpheum (independent record store) and noticed Get Ready was #15 in their sales chart. 60MPH is getting played on KEXP 90.3 (Paul Allen funded radio station in conjuntion with the EXPerience Music Project Museum).

i don't like k-roq very much, but i did tape hooky when he was on loveline back in 93.

I was at a mall CD store yesterday (FYE) and they played Crystal on the store sound system.

I was in my flat yesterday, and they played Crystal !

They played "Save a Prayer" in Comet today......

I remember being at the local mall a few years ago and shocked to hear a David Bowie song (well, it was "Let's Dance", but a Bowie song nonetheless)
