Sounds excellent; if I found myself around the Manchester area I'd pay a visit. They could put it somewhere between there and Salford and solve any hassles.
What a fucking awful idea. Not even a museum of womens titties would make me want to go to Manchester; it's a horrible dump of a city beaten only by Sheffield.

A museum of womens breasts? Now that would be worth the entrance fee.:D
It'd be grand, as long as it wasn't built in Manchester. It's a fucking shithole. Liverpool is so much nicer, as is Nottingham...
Sheffield's all right, a good night out, the Leadmill is a classic club. Yov've just got the hump cos your spire is still crooked!!!

My only positive memory of Sheffield is that I saw Monaco at the Leadmill in 1997. We were standing right at the front under David Potts (ooer!) & he kicked his beer over me & my mate. That was nothing compared to when Hooky stared a hole right through me for what seemed like 20 minutes, but what was probably only about 5 seconds.
Even though the great man looked at me in sheer disgust & contempt, I never felt so special! It was a good night, all the best cuts from 'Music For Pleasure' were played, along with the almighty 'Bicycle Thief'.
Come to think of it, I saw Cast a few months previous to Monaco at the City Hall (Sheffield twice in one year? I was young & foolish!). They were deadly unfashionable at the time (& always were), but it was a decent gig, marred only by the miserable gits at the back with us who refused to even stand up for any of the songs. Travis were the support band, I wonder what became of them... ;)
Daz, our bent spire is grand! Supposedly it moves a tiny bit each year, hopefully my ancestors will have cleared off out of the area when it finally topples in a couple hundred years! ![]()
James, Sheffield is a brilliant night as well as the Leadmill, whats that boozer called that serves the strongest bitter in the world, they only dare sell it in half pints! Used to be a decent music scene in Sheffield to, don't they have a museum to celerbrate this. Guess you hate the place cos its local to Chesterfield, its like us in Crewe, we hate Stoke, now that is a shithole with 2 shit football teams!!

I used to be into Different Class-era Pulp, they're from Sheffield, but they got crap after that one great album. I'm not disputing the quality of Sheffield's music scene or its nights out, I just think the city itself is an ugly mess.
I hate the Sheffield accents aswell, they grate on ones ears worse than those ruddy Geordies!
