I'd like to get some real nice classic Peter Saville designed artwork to hang on the wall of me new home.

any suggestions for anything really nice in particular that can be found .... i guess i could try the usual uncertain eBay gambling and see what i actually get

if you have bags of money try the paul stolper site : www.petersaville.com

if not, try ebay, although any original stuff will be even more expensive

ive always wanted one of the weiner 711 posters or touched by the hand of god. maybe someday when im not a student.

i got this 3rd rate hacienda axonometric and some postcards and jumbled them together on a slightly frosted piece of transparent paper over white, framed it, and , it works quite well. there is a "peter saville palate" i found, that works well when mixed in your own way, to suit your own room.

would still kill for that weiner though. someday, after college

also, try hanging the 12 inches on the wall. technique, closer, pcl, are , in themselves, works of art.

Used to have a Thieves Like Us poster years ago.Am planning to buy a photo printer and then take the covers of Thieves and Murder from the gallery ,crop them of the numbers around the central artwork and print them off and frame them. The two will sit with each other on the wall.

I would say try gambling with Ebay. I have got the Blue Monday "Target", and found Joy's "Closer" on there, and in excellent shape. Good prices too. Then you would just have to sign your life away to get them in good frames.

are there any current online shops to buy Saville stuff? posters, framed? don't care about the "rarity" value

just looking for something nice thou i suppose i don't really wanna pay 500 pounds, that would be kinda silly

Just had a look at Dave Sultan's 'wanted' list and I have 7 items on it - mint condition! Certainly not selling though, not through being a git, just that they're 'prized' posessions... :love2:

I have the (New Order) Substance and Unknown Pleasures posters hanging in my apartment. The posters themselves were very inexpensive; nothing special or rare. The frames make all the difference. The key is to have them custom mounted and framed in very good frames. Had the frame shop trim the godawful lettering off the Unknown Pleasures poster, so all that remains is the artwork. Expensive, but makes them look like art, instead of posters.
